Over the week of Black Friday there were numerous opportunities to snag NBA 2K15 on PS4 and Xbox One for $30. Since then there were a few days where it was made available for $35 and others for $40. Typically games don’t fall back to the prices seen over the Black Friday period but in the case of NBA 2K15 it now has.
For the next week NBA 2K15 will be $30 on Amazon for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Click here to go directly to the product page. Any sales made through that link help to support the site and fund future giveaways.
After shaking off server issues and other technical problems in the weeks that followed release NBA 2K15 has proven to be one of the strongest sports games of the year. The recent patch showed an attentiveness to consumer feedback and a dedication to making the game better that goes well beyond what the company has done with post-release support in the past. With a season that stretches the relevance of the game into July it’s arguably one of the best values out there regardless of price but undoubtedly so at $30.
In this new episode of the Press Row Podcast there are three segments featured. The first is a 4th String League reunion, followed by an interview with Super Mega Baseball’s Scott Drader, and finally the full audio from this week’s live Press Row Hangout.

The NHL season is moving along at full speed now and with the colder weather comes even more desire to play some games. Hockey fans with iOS and Android devices received a new version of NHL 2K this season but, like a preseason darling which has stumbled out of the gates, this year’s game offers little to excite past 2K fans and is even disappointing enough that those who blindly spend $8 on it may be turned off from even considering future releases. Read more
The roster update for Madden NFL 15 following week 14 of the season is available now on all systems. Anticipated movement at the top of the ratings didn’t take place with Richard Sherman and Calvin Johnson staking claims to return to 99 overall both remaining at 98 but Peyton Manning did fall a single point to 97 after a stretch of play that has been well below his usual level. Check out all the changes in the latest update with the spreadsheet here.
Notables on the rise include Jordy Nelson (+1 to 97), A.J. Green (+1 to 96), Julio Jones (+2 to 95), Marcell Dareus (+1 to 95), Le’Veon Bell (+2 to 94), Ben Roethlisberger (+1 to 94), DeAndre Levy (+1 to 94), Michael Bennett (+1 to 94), Arian Foster (+1 to 93), Joe Haden (+1 to 93), Sheldon Richardson (+2 to 91), Cam Newton (+2 to 88), Barry Church (+4 to 87), Jason Pierre-Paul (+2 to 87), Kenny Vaccaro (+2 to 84 same week he gets benched), Mychal Kendricks (+3 to 83), Joique Bell (+3 to 82), Derek Carr (+2 to 79), and Kerwynn Williams (+5 to 69).
Among those that have fallen are Peyton Manning (-1 to 97), Kyle Williams (-1 to 95), Marshawn Lynch (-1 to 95), Jason Peters (-1 to 95), Drew Brees (-2 to 94), Mario Williams (-1 to 94), Jimmy Graham (-2 to 93), Andrew Luck (-1 to 93), Matt Forte (-1 to 93), Philip Rivers (-2 to 92), Josh Gordon (-1 to 92), Trent Williams (-3 to 89), Troy Polamalu (-2 to 88), Louis Vasquez (-3 to 85), Alfred Morris (-2 to 85), Greg Zuerlein (-4 to 83), and Colin Kaepernick (-3 to 83).
Those who didn’t grab EA Sports UFC digitally when it was available for under $14 on the week of Black Friday, and that have an Xbox One, will have another opportunity to play it for cheap. The game will be put into the “Vault” through EA Access on December 18.
EA Access is the subscription service that is currently exclusive to Xbox One as Sony opted not to allow it for the PS4. It’s $30 for a full year or $5 month-to-month. Members get unlimited access to the Vault which contains older EA games. Right now that includes 2013’s slate of sports titles, Need for Speed Rivals, PvZ Garden Warfare, Battlefield 4, and Peggle 2 with UFC joining them next week. Also there’s 10% savings on all digital purchases and five days of limited (six hours) early play before each EA game releases.
It comes as a bit of a surprise that UFC would go into the Vault already. The game has only been out for six months and it isn’t as though there is a sequel right around the corner. The next entry in the new franchise has been planned for some point in 2016. The company hasn’t even stopped supporting the game. There have now been six patches after the one this week that added in four “legends” and there apparently are even still more updates to come.
This episode of The Daily Dish centers on how EA Sports isn’t done mishandling NHL 15 as proven by their “New Era” announcement this week, the four legends that were added with a patch to EA Sports UFC today, a look ahead to Super Mega Baseball with a recent interview, and a summary of last night’s Press Row Hangout.

The four legends revealed earlier this month have made their way into EA Sports UFC today. Acting as the sixth patch for the game on PS4 and Xbox One it comes in at a whopping 1.08 GB despite apparently being limited to just them and nothing else. The four new fighters make for 18 that have now been added to the roster since the game released in June.
Brock Lesnar, Mark Coleman, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, and Matt Hughes are the new additions. Most every fighter in the game is rated in the upper 80s or 90s which doesn’t provide much if any separation between even mid-level guys and “legends”. Lesnar is 92, Rampage 91, Hughes 91, and Coleman 89.
