The roster update heading into the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs is available now on all systems for Madden NFL 15. After two weeks off – the only two over the course of whole season that didn’t receive new updates – this one heavily factors in week 16 and 17 performances and also those from the Wild Card round for the eight teams that participated. NBA 2K15 leads the way in number of nominations (6). It’s followed by FIFA 15, Madden NFL 15, and MLB 14: The Show (4), The Golf Club and EA Sports UFC (3), and Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 and Super Mega Baseball (2).

The voting for various categories in the Pastapadre Community Awards concludes with Best Sports Game. This will be the sixth year that the community will name a Sports Game of the Year. Previous winners have been MLB 13: The Show (2013), NBA 2K13 (2012), FIFA 12 (2011), NBA 2K11 (2010), and Madden NFL 10 (2009).
No game stood head and shoulders above the pack this year – and they all sure had their fair share of issues and deficiencies – but strong arguments can be made for five of the heavyweights. Despite 2K Sports having rarely altered player ratings in the past six weeks of NBA 2K15 roster updates they have stayed on top of player movement and other personnel moves. Less than 24 hours after the announcement of a three-team trade between the Cleveland Cavaliers, Oklahoma City Thunder, and New York Knicks it has been executed in a brand new roster update.
The Thunder received Dion Waiters, the Cavs got J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert, and the Knicks have taken on the expiring contracts of Alex Kirk, Lou Amundson and Lance Thomas. The Thunder also sent a future draft pick to both Cleveland and New York.

This is a category that awarded no one in 2013 sadly – because there were none to consider – but in 2014 a few risks were taken and strong efforts emerged.
