The release of one of the best all-around games last year is finally imminent for Xbox One. Rocket League will go out on Tuesday, February 17 and for the original price of $20. It will include all of the paid downloadable content that has released since last summer to those with the game on PS4 and PC – Supersonic Fury, Revenge of the Battle-Cars, and Chaos Run.
Additionally there are two exclusive vehicles for those on Xbox One: Gears of War’s Armadillo and Halo’s Warthog, along with other exclusive items related to flags and rocket trails. Unfortunately unlike those on PS4 and PC who can play together online, Rocket League on Xbox One will be limited to only XB1 players in online matches.
A live stream held today by MLB The Show 16 developers went through improvements to expect for gameplay. The most notable changes affect bunt logic and base stealing – both desperately needed after being exploited heavily last year.
A ton of work has gone into the variety of animations, performance of players who are out of their primary position, new types of swings and running styles, 20 umpires all with unique personalities, more personalized home run rituals like Edwin Encarnacion’s walking the parrot and Jose Bauitsta’s ALDS bat flip, plus Pat Venditte will be able to switch-pitch but no other players will be allowed to have that capability. Read more
Post-release support continues for Rory McIlroy PGA Tour which has received several patches and content additions. Most recently a third real-world course was introduced to the game and there is still one more to come.
Today another patch went out for the game which added in turn-based stroke play for unranked online matches. Also included in the update are attribute changes to the roster of licensed golfers, some audio and course fixes for PGA West, and various camera fixes.
The game is still on sale with a PlayStation 4 digital code going for $13.19 at Amazon and is expected to make it to the EA Access Vault on Xbox One in the near future.
The beta for EA Sports UFC 2 provided ample opportunity for those participating to get a feel for the game which is now just over a month away from releasing. The one week beta for EA Sports UFC 2 provided ample opportunity to get a feel for what’s in store with the product that will be releasing on March 15. After a disappointing first effort there’s reason for optimism with the sequel based on gameplay improvements, Practice and Skill Challenges meant to make the game easier to learn and improve at, and even the new Ultimate Team mode which has a different model that’s been built for an individual sport. In this new episode of the Press Row Podcast all of those things are discussed at length.

With NBA 2K16’s implementation of a legends rating scale current players can be compared to those from the past, and that means with the ratings climb for Steph Curry he’s currently considered to be playing at a level only ever having been exceeded by Michael Jordan.
With the move up in ratings to 97 Overall with the NBA 2K16 roster update today, Curry is tied with peak LeBron James, Magic Johnson, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the second highest rated players in the history of the league. Only Jordan had years for which he was rated 99 and 98.
Yesterday the All-Star Game court and uniforms were added to the game and today several other All-Stars had their ratings adjusted upwards: LeBron James (+1 to 95), Russell Westbrook (+2 to 93), James Harden (+1 to 92), DeMarcus Cousins (+1 to 91), Draymond Green (+1 to 90), Klay Thompson (+3 to 88), DeMar DeRozan (+1 to 88), and LaMarcus Aldridge (+1 to 85). Two that fell were Kawhi Leonard (-1 to 90) and Paul George (-1 to 88).
