The updates being made to the commentary in Madden NFL 17 now reflect storylines out of the second week of the preseason. Play Now and Online Head-to-Head will receive relevant commentary about NFL happenings regularly throughout the season and last week’s first sign of it was very promising. The duo of Brandon Gaudin and Charles Davis will additionally be recording new audio for other modes like Franchise and Ultimate Team.
Examples in the video below address Dak Prescott’s success, Dre Kirkpatrick having to borrow a high schooler’s cleats for a practice, and injury updates from around the league.

The mobile companion app for NBA 2K17 will be introducing some new functionality to tie in with the game. After two years of having the ability to scan in faces for created MyPlayer characters by using the Kinect or PS4 Camera the job will now be done by the MyNBA2K17 app. That’s good news considering the scanning won’t be limited to those with the cameras and the process had been frustratingly difficult to complete and simply never worked for some people.
Earning extra VC has been the primary reason to have the MyNBA2K app in the past whether through the daily bonuses, built-in card game, or NBA pickem. MyNBA2K17 will be out for iOS and Android devices on Thursday, September 8.
EA Sports has now laid out the top 50 players in NHL 17. For now the sixth consecutive year Sidney Crosby leads the way as the highest rated player. There are 7 players that come in right behind him at 94 Overall. In total there are 46 players bunched in the 90-95 range. Read more

2K Sports today released a gameplay trailer for NBA 2K17, which follows a teaser trailer that featured the USA Olympic teams earlier this month.
There isn’t a whole lot to learn from the trailer – for some gameplay related observations head over to check out the hands-on impressions that come from Polygon – but considering how starved everyone is for anything 2K17 with just over three weeks until release it’s at least a start that will hopefully represent the opening of the floodgates for information.
This year’s Madden capitalizes on the thrilling moments of the NFL better than ever before. Whether it’s on special teams, from the commentary, highlighted in the presentation, ball-carriers in the open field, the ball physics, or great play from the defense – something that’s never been seen or heard before will likely occur in every single game of Madden NFL 17.
