Madden NFL 17 Color Rush Seahawks

When Madden NFL 17 released one of the very first things looked at were the uniforms and whether the Color Rush sets would be included for all 30 teams. They weren’t because the NFL had yet to unveil them. That happened today and EA Sports quickly followed the news with some of their own that, as expected, a patch will be coming soon to deliver them to the game.

There’s no date yet for when to expect the uniforms but plans have been in the works for some time so it will likely happen within the next week or two. A few other questions also remain such as whether Franchises currently in progress will be able to access them and whether color vs color will be allowed in games or if one team will be required to wear white.

Microsoft today released a demo for Forza Horizon 3 on Xbox One. It can be queued up for download here and it comes in at over 18 GB.

Your tour Down Under begins in classic Horizon fashion – with beautiful scenery, great driving roads, and awesome vehicles. From the moment the action begins, you are unmistakably in Australia, with all of its awe-inspiring beauty and tremendous environmental diversity. You’ll blast along ocean-side roads, and race on the beach alongside the famed Twelve Apostles landmarks. You’ll grab ludicrous air off of danger sign jumps buried deep in the Australian rainforests, and have a chance to get sideways through Drift Zones in Byron Bay. Once you’ve finished all the events in the demo, you’ll be able to hop online and join your fellow Forza friends in an online free-roam session to explore the demo’s map together.

Vehicles found in the demo include the Lamborghini Centenario, dune buggy, trophy truck and a choice from cars such as the BMW M4 Coupe, the Ford Shelby GT350R, and the 2014 HSV Limited Edition GEN-F GTS Maloo.

Forza Horizon 3 is set to release on September 27. It can be pre-ordered by Amazon Prime members for 20% off making it $48 for the standard version and $80 for the Ultimate Edition.

  • Week one highlighted the importance of Madden’s special teams improvements

    madden17blockkick

Depending on what goes down in the Monday night games the first week of the 2016 NFL season could end up as the closest week of games in the history of the league. Just a single game had a winning margin in double digits, 4 games have been decided by 1 point, and another game finished with a 2 point difference. How the games have played out only highlighted the importance of the work that went into Madden NFL 17.

Long neglected, special teams in Madden finally received attention this year, and the crop of NFL games showed how crucial such plays in that area of football can be towards the outcome. There were multiple blocked kicks, missed field goals, and missed extra points – most of which had a direct impact on strategy and outcome. Finally there isn’t the need to point to those instances and complain that those things don’t happen in Madden.

The biggest change with this year’s Madden is that the user is engaged on every single play. Something exciting can happen or disaster can strike. As was witnessed in week one it’s something real teams are challenged by constantly.

    Zak Prescott Madden NFL 17

The always highly-anticipated first roster update for the regular season is out now for Madden NFL 17. The update includes all the transactions made through the preseason, the latest depth charts, plus a fair share of ratings changes.

Among the big ratings movers are Khalil Mack (+3 to 97), Terron Armstead (+1 to 93), Jamie Collins (+4 to 92), Lavonte David (+1 to 87) Telvin Smith (+3 to 83), Paul Kruger (-2 to 83), Micah Hide (-3 to 77), Malcolm Smith (+3 to 77), Rolando McClain (-5 to 76), Trent Brown (+10 to 75), Dak Prescott (+3 to 74), E.J. Gaines (-6 to 73), and Trevor Siemian (+9 to 70). You can view all the ratings changes in this new form by checking the ‘Big Movers’ box.

Noteworthy events are of course reflected such as Sam Bradford being sent to the Vikings, Josh Sitton now on the Bears, Prescott taking over for the injured Tony Romo, and Siemian having won the starting job in Denver. Unfortunately, while the trade for Bradford was executed, the Eagles did not receive the draft picks for Franchise Mode. They’ll still go without a first rounder. A good deal of players who made the final 53 man rosters are still missing as well.
