This video from NFL.com shows LaMarr Woodley and Nnamdi Asomugha getting a 3D head scan for Madden 11 while in Miami for the Super Bowl. It appears Backbreaker has finally settled on an official release date and is scheduled out May 18th. With this date it avoids releasing directly against UFC (25th) but does have to go up against Skate 3. Kotaku has an article about the players who crossed the picket line in 1994 and remain banned from the MLB Players Association. They still ...

Joystiq has the news that Tecmo Bowl Throwback will be arriving as a downloadable title for the 360 and PS3. There has been much discussion over the lawsuits filed against the NCAA and EA regarding player likenesses in collegiate games. ESPN recently had an Outside the Lines piece on the lawsuits which you can watch here. The second patch for NBA 2K10 will be released on Monday for the PS3. No word on when it will arrive for the 360. One encouraging thing discovered about Madden Ultimate Team is that updates can be made to it very easily. Such is the case as some adjustments have alr...

At the VGAs on Saturday night it was NHL 10 taking the "Best Team Sports Game" and UFC 2009 Undisputed taking "Best Individual Sports Game". That represents the second straight win for NHL and a win for UFC in its debut year. With UFC 2010 Undisputed releasing on May 25th I would expect EA Sports MMA to take advantage of that and release first. Early April would be a comfortable landing spot. Rarely do I come across an article as ridiculous as this one. Amusing read just for h...

Madden Arcade topped the sales charts for the week of 11/23 on Xbox Live Arcade. That is an encouraging sign especially given its relatively high price for an arcade offering and that it was only out for five of the seven days. If it stays up near the top of the charts through December that would indicate significant success and likelihood that downloadable arcade style games would continue and expand in 2010. Madden Arcade will be receiving another roster update. When that will hap...

The free-to-play PC game Quick Hit Football has signed four additional coaches. Jerry Glanville, Herm Edwards, Marv Levy, and Marty Schottenheimer join the five others, handful of current NFL players, and numerous legendary players already associated with the game. EA Sports has announced the details of another patch for Fight Night Round 4. A full listing of changes to the game that will come with the patch can be found here. The 360 achievements for NCAA Basketball 10 are out. Sadly they are the exact same as last year minus one achievement that has been removed. Just over a week before the release of NCAA Basketball 10 and still nothing detailing the "dynamic updates" that appeared in the feature list and were inexplicably missing fro...
