Cam Newton Declares for NFL Draft
Auburn QB and Heisman winner Cam Newton has decided to enter the NFL Draft. Coming from seemingly out of nowhere to lead the Tigers to the National Championship, Newton put up a spectacular season throwing for 2854 yards with 30 TDs to just 7 INTs and rushing for 1473 yards and 20 TDs. He has a load of potential with a big arm, good height and large frame, and terrific athleticism.
Newton is projected as a first rounder but concerns could keep him from going at the top of the draft. Certain...
2010 Year in Review Recap
It was a year in sports gaming that had a couple really great offerings followed by several good titles that lacked significantly in certain areas. In that sense it was no different than any other year though distinctly more top-heavy. In the four years of doing a countdown of top games 2K Sports has now captured the top spot twice with NBA 2K11 and The BIGS. EA Sports has one nod with NCAA Football 09, and last year's winner UFC Undisputed 2009 came from THQ.
UFC Undisputed 2010 dropped co...
Nick Fairley Now Looks Like Top Pick
With his standout performance in the BCS National Championship game, Auburn defensive tackle Nick Fairley may have cemented his stock as the prospective number one pick in the NFL Draft. Fairley was already projected to go high, likely in the top three, but the dominance on a national stage may have propelled him into the role as the front-runner. Certainly the impact that Ndamukong Suh had in his rookie year could also help his chances. A junior he still has not yet officially declared for th...
Jacquizz Rodgers Declares for NFL Draft
In a somewhat surprising announcement today Oregon State running back Jacquizz Rodgers has decided he will enter the NFL Draft. Rodgers finishes his career as the school's second leading rusher all-time with 3877 yards, 46 TDs, and 19 games where he went for over 100 yards. He is also a very good receiver having caught 151 passes. The only concern is his size and durability at the next level.
Rodgers could be compared to Dexter McCluster who was a running back coming out of college but tran...

Andrew Luck Returning to Stanford
Surprising news today as Andrew Luck has decided to pass over the NFL and return to Stanford for his junior season. Luck would have been the #1 pick so the decision is a head-scratcher especially with coach Jim Harbaugh likely on his way out.
This development will shake up the top of the draft and the Panthers have to be very disappointed that the potential franchise QB is no longer there for them. Players like DE Da'Quan Bowers, DT Nick Fairley, or WR A.J. Green now have a shot to be the f...
