  • Demo for WWE All-Stars Out Next Week

    The demo for the fighting game WWE All-Stars will be arriving on the Xbox 360 and PS3 on Tuesday March 22nd. Assuming the US demo is the same as the one released in Europe the featured match-up will be Rey Mysterio vs The Ultimate Warrior. That may be an odd pairing on the surface but one that at least represents two of the different classes of wrestlers. The Ultimate Warrior is a "Brawler" while Mysterio is an "Acrobat".     THQ has released a second video featuring a full match from the fighting game WWE All-Stars. The earlier video had two wrestlers from the 'Acrobat' class while this one uses "Big Men" as Kane takes on Andre the Giant. For those looking forward to a demo for All-Stars news on that is coming next week, which likely means it will be arriving on March 22nd.     THQ has released the first video featuring a full match from the fighting game WWE All-Stars. The match features Shawn Michaels vs John Morrison, both of which belong to the "Acrobat" class of wrestlers. The game has four sets of classes with the others being "Brawlers", "Grapplers", and "Big Men" that help to define their skill sets.     With the reveal of the entire WWE All-Stars roster complete the glaring decision to hold back a third of the roster as downloadable content is already generating discussion. By announcing so many DLC wrestlers this early, and including some particularly popular ones in that group, it showed that THQ had planned all along to save them for the sole purpose of charging when they could have included them in the base roster.     Rounding out the WWE All-Stars roster are The Undertaker, Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, Shawn Michaels, Mr. Perfect, The Miz, and Drew McIntyre. They join those previously announced to form the full roster of 15 legends and 15 active WWE wrestlers. Additionally there will be a large number of individuals (including Chris Jericho) being offered as paid DLC.     Two more additions to the roster of the upcoming arcade fighter WWE All-Stars were revealed today. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin has been added to the Legends side while CM Punk finds himself with the group of active wrestlers. Stone Cold always appeared to be a must-have for the game and CM Punk's stature within WWE made him an obvious choice as well.     THQ has revealed another set of wrestlers for the upcoming arcade fighter WWE All-Stars. The list includes the late Eddie Guerrero, Sgt. Slaughter, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper for the Legends. Edge, Jack Swagger, and Kane join the side of those currently active in the WWE.     As THQ continues to gradually reveal more names for the roster of WWE All-Stars they have been tying those announcements of individuals in with new screenshots and trailers. The most recent additions were Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior to the "Legends" side.
