FIFA 16 added to the EA Access Vault
The third EA Sports game to have originally released in 2015 has reached the Vault in EA Access. Madden NFL 16 was added in February and NHL 16 in March, and now FIFA 16 joins it and all other games from the publisher to have come out earlier this generation.
EA Access is currently exclusive to Xbox One with Sony declining to offer the service on PS4. For $30 a year or $5 month-to-month, members get unlimited access to the back library of EA games on the console which...
FIFA 16 going into the EA Access Vault later this month
Springtime is now not only about the release of the first wave in sports games every year but also the prime period to be a subscriber to the EA Access service on Xbox One. The back library of titles in the EA Access Vault is always building but this is the point in which still relevant sports titles are finding themselves added to the service.
The next to come is FIFA 16 which will make it into the Vault on April 19, and it'll be included for EA Access subscribers on both Xbox One and...
The basketball mode for Rocket League will be arriving soon
Earlier this month Psyonix announced a basketball mode was in the works for Rocket League but didn't offer any clarification for when it would release outside of "later this year." Now the developer has revealed that the new mode called Dunk House will be free and available to all with the game on PS4/XB1/PC in April. Based on their past announcement-to-delivery time frames it could be just a week or two away now.
Rocket League was built off soccer fundamentals with cars taking the pl...

After four releases over a 12 year span with EA Sports, the latest UEFA Euro game comes courtesy of Konami who announced the acquisition of the license last year. Rather than a standalone game, or even paid downloadable content, UEFA Euro 2016 content has been added to Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 as a free update.
Unfortunately only 15 of the nations involved in the tournament are officially licensed for the add-on. They are Albania, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Icelan...
NHL 16 going into the EA Access Vault on Xbox One next week
The value of the EA Access subscription service will continuously build as the "Vault" gains more games from the publisher. However for sports fans there's an ebb and flow to the worth of EA Access. From February through August the sports games are available during a stretch that they are still very relevant, providing the opportunity to "own" them without having to buy them or even sell off any retail copies that had been purchased prior to then.
Madden NFL 16 was added to the Vaul...

The O’Bannon lawsuit now moving towards possible Supreme Court hearing
An appeals ruling last September in the Ed O'Bannon vs NCAA class action lawsuit complicated the potential return of college sports video games. District judge Claudia Wilken had initially ruled in favor of the plaintiffs, finding that the NCAA violated antitrust laws and that college athletes should be able to receive up to $5,000 a year in deferred payments.
The District Court ruling had made it possible for the likes of EA Sports to pay into a trust that would have been dispersed to pl...
