    Released in 2014 The Golf Club was among the first wave of sports games from independent developers that helped lead to the resurgence in the genre where sports (or unique takes on them) not being sufficiently covered by the big publishers are taken on by smaller studios.     It has now been over six weeks since NBA Playgrounds released and yet half the game is still missing. A patch to add online play originally promised for a few days after release remains in limbo. Meanwhile the other versions of Playgrounds on XB1, PS4, and PC have received multiple updates improving the game and adding other features.   • NHL 18 gets Connor McDavid for the cover and online beta in July

    EA Sports has now revealed the cover athlete for NHL 18 and accompanying features for the game. Surveys sent out to gauge reaction to potential features months ago revealed much of what to expect out of NHL 18 and now many of those have been officially confirmed. Connor McDavid has been chosen for the cover and the special edition goes with the theme of "Young Stars" while an online beta has been announced.  (more…)...

    First announced by publisher Ubisoft at E3, the mountain sports game Steep will be getting a major expansion on December 5 called Road to the Olympics. Now additional details on the DLC which releases on December 5th have been provided. (more…)...
