Latest Update on FNR4
With the demo for Fight Night Round 4 out (to Gamestop preorders) and with decidedly mixed reaction, producer Brian Hayes made sure to address some of the common complaints being made in a posting on the EA Sports forum. If these issues were addressed as stated than most will probably be satisfied with the difference between demo and final version. Generally though the demo is fairly representative of the final product.
Also of note is that while the demo will be out for everyone else on ...
FNR4 Highlight Clips
One of the features recently discussed in various media articles on Fight Night Round 4 is the ability to take replays and upload them to EA Sports World. At any point in a fight you can pause the game, go into replay mode for that round, and cut out a portion to upload. I've always enjoyed the highlight features in games and hope there is a way to save them following the conclusion of online fights also.
The demo actually contains this same functionality and a bunch of highlights are bei...
FNR4 Demo Footage
With the FNR4 demo now available to those who preordered through Gamestop there are a bunch of new videos making their way out. So far it seems as if the impressions of the game are mixed from those who have played the demo and the comments made from watching the footage. From my short time having played the game it is graphically and technically impressive and certainly seemed fun but the issues being noted appear to be justified.
I went through and located a few of the demo videos that ...

Check out the article in full here.

FNR4 Demo Out Tomorrow
The demo for Fight Night Round 4, which features the Manny Pacquiao vs Ricky Hatton match-up, will be out on the 360 and PS3 tomorrow. Unfortunately it will only be available to those who have preordered and received a special download code from Gamestop. There are a limited amount of codes that are being provided to those who preordered the game in a store or online.
This is a practice that I am not in favor of and it is a shame that EA is taking that route. It is one thing to provide in...
Feedback Leads to Taylor Fix
While graphically Fight Night Round 4 appears to be one of the best sports titles this generation there were some comments made after initial screenshots of the actual boxer representations. One specifically that was at the forefront of discussion was that of Jermain Taylor. Basically he looked overweight and out of shape.
In response to that the FNR4 developers have adjusted Taylor's model based on the feedback from the community. Continue on to see a before and after comparison.

E3 is now just three weeks away! The gaming expo takes place on June 2nd-4th with some conferences (MS/Sony/Nintendo/EA?) happening on the 1st. This E3 is making an attempt to return to the glory days as opposed to the last couple years and the publishers are responding. EA Sports is expected to have some game related announcements including the new online modes for Madden 10 at this E3.
In the days leading up to E3 I'll have more details on what to expect both in terms of the games and c...
