2010 FIFA World Cup Impressions
Over the last year or so I've really started to take more of an interest in soccer, and though I've found myself enjoying the FIFA franchise it has been to a somewhat limited extent. I've spent most of my gaming time with Online Team Play which has provided for the cooperative play where I could concentrate on a single position and learn the game in the process. The actual standard mode hasn't been all that compelling to me.
In the past I've had a tendency to enjoy the off-year FIFA tit...
2010 FIFA World Cup Hard Drive Evaluation
With 2010 FIFA World Cup in hand I have gone through and timed different loading areas when running off the disc compared to running off the hard drive on the 360. Installing to the hard drive not only has proven to cut down on load times, in some cases significantly, but it also reduces stress to the system and the noise it produces. World Cup has some lengthy load times, and surprisingly the hard drive install didn't offer much improvement in loading to the main menu or into a match. Ho...

With Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online having now advanced out of the beta officially launched, and as the release of Tiger Woods 11 for the consoles and iPhone approaches, EA will be facing questions about the...

2K Sports Plans To Support Motion Controls
Based on a statement given in an interview with the[a]listdaily, 2K Sports has made their intention known of supporting the upcoming motion control systems for the PS3 and 360. Playstation Move and Project Natal will both be out in time for the holidays. The discussion was more regarding Move, but it would seem likely that they are looking at offering Natal supported products as well.
Presumably the motion controls would be instituted in next year's games and would not be patched into any t...
Story of the Finals Introduced in World Cup
Today EA Sports announced a new feature that will be offered in 2010 FIFA World Cup. Known as "The Coca-Cola Zero Story of the Finals" it will provide gamers with the opportunity to play out free downloadable scenarios that have taken place in the World Cup. It sounds similar to the "Rewind" feature in NBA Live but the press release doesn't go into detail on ways it may be different or more expansive than that.
The hopes and dreams of nations will rise and fall throughout the 2010 FIFA...
