I've gone ahead and put together listings of Black Friday sales that relate to sports games. Some of the deals don't seem all that great at first glance, but considering that many of the titles in question incorporate the "Online Pass" it can end up being a savings over buying used and tacking on the $10 online functionality charge. Those looking for many specific or a wide variety of sports games will find Best Buy and Walmart the places to go. NCAA Football 11, NHL 11, FIFA 11, and EA Spo...

Having already detailed the doubling in sales that the NBA 2K series received with 2K11 and the drop-off that Madden 11 is now experiencing that leaves a handful of other titles and their sales to still discuss. It is largely disappointing news even when considering some of the following games didn't have huge expectations to begin with. (more…)...

While my overall thoughts on the Kinect system have been surprisingly positive, when it comes to software there have been some very good games that take advantage of the technology and some disappointing ones. Kinect Sports quickly became my favorite game and over the last two weeks that feeling has not worn off. There are a couple very fun and addictive sports included along with a deep set of features including online play and Facebook tie-in "leagues". (more…)...

They have since revealed the first trailer which includes actual game footage but as expected no glimpses of gameplay. It is intended primarily to introduce the story element of Fight Night Champion. Fight Night Champion will be the first ever "Rated M" title developed by EA Sports. That explicit nature and brutality will be represented not just through bloody fights but also with what is being described as mature content found in the "lifestyle and culture of boxing". This news could be encouraging or worrisome depending on how it's looked at. The game will also include improved punch controls and one-punch knockouts, physics-based gameplay, and expanded online play modes. Continue on ...

Madden NFL will be one of the launch titles for the new Nintendo 3DS. Madden on the 3DS will borrow some features from the different versions of Madden already available. It takes from the HD versions GameFlow play calling, offers some of what the Wii version provided with "Call Your Shots" and 5-on-5 mode, and uses a slo-mo feature in certain moments similar to the mobile version. The Nintendo 3DS is expected to release in March 2011. Madden NFL Football will offer a comprehensive handheld...
