    At an event held in Japan last night Sony unveiled their "Next Generation Portable" follow-up to the PSP. The system will apparently rival the processing power of the PS3, offers dual analog sticks, capacitive touch screen, flash based memory, and online/social connectivity.     EA Sports is not commenting on whether Andy Gray will remain as commentator in FIFA 12 even as he has been fired from his position at Sky Sports for making sexist comments and related inappropriate actions.   • Online Enabled Demo a Breakthrough for Sports Gaming

    Fight Night Champion is set to have a typically structured demo, four boxers in two different matchups, but EA Sports turned in a surprise with the announcement that it will be enabled for head-to-head online play for a limited time.     The demo for Fight Night Champion, which already was announced to be released on Tuesday February 1st, will for the first time feature head-to-head online play! The online play aspect will be available for only a certain period of time. Right now that is being stated as a full week but could possibly end up going on for longer (now confirmed for two weeks).     EA Sports has revealed that the demo for Fight Night Champion is slated to arrive a full four weeks before the release of the game. The demo will be out on February 1st for both the Xbox 360 and PS3. Full details on what the demo will entail are expected to come on Monday. Generally a demo that far in advance indicates a great deal confidence in a game.     Though they have yet to be officially announced, Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, and Randy Orton look as though they will be included in the roster for WWE All-Stars. The cover art for the game has slipped out and features four legends and four current wrestlers continuing the theme represented by the slogan "the greatest matchups haven't happened until now".     The event earlier this week to officially set the Nintendo 3DS for March 27th at $250 also nailed down a large group of release window titles. Unfortunately none were confirmed to arrive alongside the portable system just yet, but both Madden NFL Football and Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3D are both likely to be there on day one.     As March approaches it is shaping up to be a massive month in terms of new releases, particularly as it relates to sports related titles. Check out the recent poll on which game is generating the most interest. The presence of Fight Night Champion, MLB 11: The Show, and MLB 2K11 dominate early and are followed by Top Spin 4 in the middle of the month.
