THQ has put a lot into their pricing experiment that debuts with the release of MX vs ATV Alive tomorrow. The idea has been that releasing a game at a lower entry price (in this case $40) will increase the user base who will then be more likely to spend on expanded downloadable content offerings. Judge Dismisses NCAA Player Likeness Lawsuit Against EA Sports
Originally filed in 2009 while represented by Sam Keller and Ed O'Bannon in two cases that merged and finally reaching the courts back in February the lawsuit regarding improper use of player likenesses by EA Sports, the NCAA, and Collegiate Licensing Company has now reached a significant ruling. A judge has dismissed the complaint against EA Sports while the lawsuit will continue against the two other parties.

The first set of downloadable content for WWE All-Stars has arrived for the Xbox 360 after being delayed for over a week. PS3 gamers received the DLC two weeks ago before PSN went out of commission. Fight Night Champion Gets Another Tuner
The ability to deliver "tuner sets", gameplay related tweaks that don't have to go through the typical patch approval process, has allowed for EA Sports developers to react to community feedback in a more timely and consistent manner.
