FIFA 12 Impact Engine Trailer
EA Sports has released a brief trailer for FIFA 12 focusing on the new "Impact Engine" that is said to provide the most significant change for the series this generation. The trailer - which displays a handful of moments generated by the "Impact Engine" - follows a leaked video last week that showed off the engine through a more technical and lengthy demonstration. Forza 4 Pre-Order Bonuses Revealed
Today the Forza Motorsport 4 pre-order incentives were detailed. There will be five exclusive cars available and unfortunately they are split between five different retailers. South Park Slams EA Sports in Latest Episode
Last year South Park took on the Tiger Woods scandal in a sex addiction based episode that saw the video game turned into a topical fighting simulator. Now Trey Parker and Matt Stone have taken another swipe at EA Sports by offering commentary on the NCAA rules against compensating student-athletes and the associated video game licensing. No Return of NHL 2K This Year
Today during their quarterly financial webcast Take Two announced that the NHL 2K series will not be returning this year. NHL 2K11 only appeared on the Wii and iPhone, and though not explicit in the statement it would appear that there are no plans for any non-mobile version of 2K12 - that is unless the company does not consider the Wii a "console". NHL 12 Feature Reveal Trailer
EA Sports has released the first trailer for NHL 12 going over new features. As discovered last week the series will debut the 'Winter Classic' though the venue will be last year's (Heinz Field) rather than rumored 2012 location Citizens Bank Park. There is a new 'full contact engine', goalie contact, jostling in front of the net, and more gameplay specific improvements. Fight Night Champion Nearing Second Patch
Work is being completed on a comprehensive second patch for Fight Night Champion with the expectation that it will be released in mid-June. The patch will return general stamina levels to values in line with what shipped with the game originally - citing complaints that stamina was affecting the fights too drastically - and will bring back one punch knockouts. Leaked Video Shows FIFA 12 Improvements
EA Sports recently held a webcast with a select group to detail some of the new features in FIFA 12 and a video has leaked of that presentation. The improvements known so far for the game are related to the engine and being technical in nature that makes such a demonstration much more effective in getting across the significance to the gameplay experience.
