    Though Fight Night Champion struggled to gain traction with consumers EA Sports has continued to provide strong post-release support.     EA Sports has released a patch for the 360 and PS3 versions of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters. The patch is fairly flimsy with really only one of the widely discussed issues being taken care of while everything else - such as the ability to completely remove caddy suggestions which has long been the most requested change - has gone unaddressed.     EA Sports has just revealed that Tampa Bay Lightning forward Steven Stamkos has received the honor of being cover athlete for NHL 12. Stamkos was the number one pick in the 2008 draft, an All-Star, and led the league in goals in 2010 while coming in second this last season.     During E3 it was made clear that EA Sports intends to continue their relationship with Tiger Woods for at least one more year. Sales of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters were up and the name has undoubtedly become synonymous with the video game from a branding standpoint.     Madden NFL executive producer Phil Frazier is the latest name to be leaving EA Sports according to a reliable source. It is currently uncertain where he is headed however two prime possibilities are Row Sham Bow - the new social gaming company started by former Tiburon GM Philip Holt - or the massive social gaming company Zynga which has taken on several former Tiburon employees in the last year.     Despite previous comments to the contrary EA Sports now plans to continue their relationship with Tiger Woods at least for the immediate future which should mean a Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13. It was just late last year that Electronic Arts Chief Executive John Riccitiello basically stated that the company would move on if Woods' performance and stature did not improve.     The Forza franchise is one of Microsoft's most prized properties and as such the game was featured at the company's press conference on Monday. A release date of October 11th was announced and a new trailer released.
