    THQ announced today that The Rock is being offered as a preorder incentive for WWE 12. This offer appears to be across all retailers including Gamestop and Amazon (360, PS3). Currently Gamestop is also offering exclusive attire for The Miz but hopefully Amazon comes through with a promotional credit as they have with other upcoming titles which would easily trump that.     EA Sports has released two new videos focusing on big features being introduced in NHL 12. Following up on the Be a Pro "Revamped" trailer from last week attention is turned to 'Anticipation AI' and 'Dynamic Goalies'.   • Amazon Now Offering Promotional Credits on NBA 2K12, NHL 12, and FIFA 12

    Amazon continues to provide promotional credits for high profile releases and several more upcoming titles have received them. NHL 12, FIFA 12, and NBA 2K12 are all in line for preorder credits from the online retailer. They join Madden NFL 12 which has had the promo credits listed for some time now.     EA Sports has released a new video for NHL 12 featuring the Be a Pro "Revamped" career mode. The trailer flashes through a number of aspects to the mode such as the ability to start a career and spend four season in the CHL, get drafted into the NHL, complete new on-ice tasks, save highlights of key moments, simulating to the next shift, and more.   • Breaking Down EA Sports Football Club

    The only announcement made at E3 by EA Sports had to do with the "Football Club" feature which is being introduced with FIFA 12. Even though similar elements of the feature have been utilized by FIFA and other franchises in the past - think of this as an attempt at a more relevant NCAA Football "Season Showdown" - Football Club hopes to provide even more reason to play FIFA year round and do so for no additional charge.  (more…)...

    Nascar 2011: The Game released in disastrous condition back at the end of March. The game was not ready to release and was pushed out by Activision at the end of Q4 in order to keep it from sliding into the new financial year. Numerous severe bugs and broken online play dominated discussion around release and has ever since amongst the crowd that bought it and the few who didn't abandon it soon after.     Add another name to the list of big name departures from the EA Sports' Tiburon studio in recent months. Mark Turmell is on his way to Zynga where he will be joining other Tiburon vets such as Phil Frazier, Jeremy Strauser, Steve Chiang, and John Schappert at the social gaming giant.     Though Thursday's 'Summer Showcase' from EA was a letdown given the lack of any announcements, the event did provide the opportunity to showcase NHL 12 and what is said to be its "hat trick of innovations".
