More Specific Improvements Made for FIFA 14

2K Release Schedule Essentially Confirms This Year’s Next-Gen Plans
It has been widely expected that 2K Sports would release NBA 2K14 on the PS4 and next Xbox which would likely come shortly after first releasing on the 360 and PS3. NHL 14 Cover Vote Reaches Quarterfinals
The cover campaign for NHL 14 that began in April has now advanced to the quarterfinal stage. On one side of the bracket the Red Wings' Pavel Datsyuk goes up against Joffrey Lupol from the Maple Leafs while teammate James Van Riemsdyk takes on Martin Brodeur of the Devils. For Time Being Women to Remain Unrepresented in FIFA Series
On Sunday mention was made that women weren't going to make their way into FIFA 14. Despite a strongly supported petition and females appearing in the NHL franchise along with an expanding presence in Tiger Woods the combination of work that would need to be done and lack of time to do so (and possibly an evaluation of return on that investment) resulted in EA Sports shutting the door on the idea for this year at least.Ă‚Â (more…)...

Playoff Roster Update Released for NHL 13
EA Sports has released a significant roster update for NHL 13 to coincide with the first round of the playoffs. The update returns all players injured during the season to active status and has updated the ratings for a number of players. FIFA License With EA Sports Extended Through 2022
One day after discussing the huge success that has been the FIFA franchise EA Sports has announced an extension to the current licensing agreement with FIFA that will stretch all the way though 2022. EA retains exclusive rights to FIFA branded games and that also includes the World Cup - the next entry of which should release late April or May 2014. FIFA 13 Sets New Sales and Digital Revenue Records; EA Lays Out Release Schedule
The biggest sports video game series in the world is showing no signs of slowing down following several years in a row of breaking its own records.
