    In the explanation from EA Sports regarding the release date delay/shift beginning with Madden 12 (and going forward for the series) the company claimed the change was being made primarily to capitalize on fan excitement by hitting stores closer to the regular season kick-off.     The NHL series from EA Sports has been one of the most highly regarded this generation. With NHL 09 in particular the franchise had a resurgence and became more mainstream than many would have anticipated possible. The game began to reach those not necessarily fans of the NHL.     Now that all of the NHL teams with new jerseys have unveiled them on the ice, EA Sports has released the code to enter in NHL 11 to unlock them in the game.     Having already detailed the doubling in sales that the NBA 2K series received with 2K11 and the drop-off that Madden 11 is now experiencing that leaves a handful of other titles and their sales to still discuss.   • NHL 11 Complete Patch Details

    Over the weekend some of the gameplay related fixes and improvements for the NHL 11 patch were laid out. Now EA Sports has released a full comprehensive list of everything that the patch will be influencing. That includes in areas such as online play, Be a GM mode, Hockey Ultimate Team mode, and more.     A patch for NHL 11 is nearing release for the 360 and PS3 and could make their way out as early as this coming week. Continue on for a list of details for the patch focusing on the gameplay improvements and some other fixes.     Nearly two months after release and NHL 11 has received its first roster update. It includes the addition of about 600 players within the 10 different leagues that NHL 11 carries and also updates goalie equipment. Despite the arrival of the roster update the NHL community is up in arms over what has been provided and issues it has created.     September was big for EA Sports as their three most recent games finished in the top five in sales for the month. Unfortunately NPD has decided to no longer provide the actual sales numbers for consoles or individual titles instead leaving that to the manufacturers and publishers which is a little disconcerting.
