NHL 14 Video Highlights One-Touch Dekes and True Performance Skating
EA Sports today released a new video for NHL 14 putting on display the new One-Touch Dekes and the improved physics-based skating engine. The One-Touch Dekes feature offers "a more responsive deking system controlled only with the left stick and one-button". Greater player responsiveness and control through "improved balance between speed and momentum, quicker pivots and enhanced lateral skating" with be found in the True Performance Skating. (more…)...
NHL 14 Cover Vote Reaches Quarterfinals
The cover campaign for NHL 14 that began in April has now advanced to the quarterfinal stage. On one side of the bracket the Red Wings' Pavel Datsyuk goes up against Joffrey Lupol from the Maple Leafs while teammate James Van Riemsdyk takes on Martin Brodeur of the Devils. The other side has John Tavares from the Islanders facing Wayne Simmonds of the Flyers as Taylor Hall of the Oilers competes against the Blue Jackets' Sergei Bobrovsky.

Playoff Roster Update Released for NHL 13
EA Sports has released a significant roster update for NHL 13 to coincide with the first round of the playoffs. The update returns all players injured during the season to active status and has updated the ratings for a number of players. First NHL 14 Pre-Order Bonuses Emerge
Two retailers have posted up the pre-order bonuses for NHL 14. Gamestop and Amazon are the first to make theirs known with others soon to follow.
It appears that every retailer will include an incentive tied to Ultimate Team mode which provides 24 gold packs over a 24 week period. Any consumers that get pulled into playing HUT that wouldn't have otherwise, or those who will play for longer due to the packs they'll be getting over several months, represent a net gain for EA and their money...
NHL 14 Trailer Highlights Collision Physics
EA Sports has released a new trailer for NHL 14 that puts the improved collision physics on full display. Bigger hits and more true-to-life collisions have been made possible by tapping into the same technology that powers the Player Impact Engine in the FIFA series and utilizing a new left stick control scheme.

NHL 14 Cover Vote Begins
Because it wouldn't be an EA Sports game without a prolonged vote for the cover athlete the process begins today for NHL 14. The first round features two players from each team head-to-head with the winner advancing to a bracket of 30 representatives. The cover campaign for NHL 13 lasted nearly three months - this one ends June 2 making it somewhat more tolerable.

First NHL 14 News Arrives on Monday
EA Sports today announced that the first trailer and feature reveals for NHL 14 will be made on April 15. This comes as somewhat of a surprise as typically the company hasn't started marketing the upcoming NHL releases until late May followed by more in June along with E3.
