EA Seeks Dismissal from Likeness Lawsuit
In a filing today Electronic Arts is seeking dismissal following the latest amended complaint in the player likeness lawsuit against the company, NCAA, and CLC. During the class action certification hearing EA and the CLC both threw the NCAA under the bus saying they shouldn't be held liable given that they were just following the NCAA's rules. EA Confirms College Football Series to Continue Into Next-Gen
Earlier today the news broke that the NCAA was pulling out of providing their license for any college sports video games. NCAA Not Renewing Contract With EA Sports; May Bring an End to College Video Games
The NCAA today announced they will not be renewing their contract with EA Sports for the rights to their name and logo. Individual Challenging Attorney Fees Delays EA Football Pricing Settlement Payouts
The class action settlement that came down from the lawsuit that claimed EA raised the price of football games after securing exclusive licenses is now being held up by an individual taking issue with the cut the lawyers received in the deal. An extension to the period to make claims was enacted back in April with payouts expected to be made over the summer. Konami has released a new trailer showing off many of the gameplay related features to expect in Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 which will be out on the Xbox 360 and PS3 this fall. Which Officially Announced Next-Gen Sports Game Are You Most Anticipating?
Earlier this month E3 delivered the first actual display of the next-gen sports games scheduled to release along with the consoles later this year or early into 2014.
