  • End of Year Community Awards: Best Post-Release Support of 2014

    The voting for various categories in the Pastapadre Community Awards continues with Best Post-Release Support. This is a new category for the Community Awards. In the past post-release support has been factored into rankings but has never been singled out for recognition. There were some strong efforts from developers to not just fix issues but improve and provide new content this year. The three earning nominations are The Golf Club, EA Sports UFC, and Madden NFL 15.   • End of Year Community Awards: Most Disappointing Game of 2014

    The voting for various categories in the Pastapadre Community Awards continues with Most Disappointing Sports Game. It's the only recognition from the awards that no game would want but several candidates can't avoid. Previous "winners" - or losers I suppose - have been NBA 2K14, NCAA Football 13, NCAA Football 12, and Madden NFL 11. This year three titles really stand out from the crowd unfortunately.     The voting for various categories in the Pastapadre Community Awards continues with Best Online Play opening up today. This is a category that has understandably been dominated by EA Sports games and once again the company will have a winner out of it. Madden is looking for its fourth straight victory with FIFA and UFC representing the challengers.  (more…)...

    The voting for various categories in the Pastapadre Community Awards continues with the Best Career Mode opening up today. Past winners have alternated between NBA 2K (2010, 2012) and The Show (2011, 2013). It's the only original Community Awards category that doesn't even have three viable candidates this year. There are two standouts and those are NBA 2K15 and MLB 14: The Show.     The voting for various categories in the Pastapadre Community Awards continues with today Best Franchise Mode opening up. This is a category that has been dominated by the Madden NFL series which is looking for its fourth straight victory. Some of its usual competition has fallen out of the running.
