DDoS attacks have taken down EA servers
Those hoping to log in and play Madden NFL 17, or any game from publisher Electronic Arts, are finding that online services are unavailable. An ongoing DDoS attack has proven problematic for the publisher to overcome. The group responsible is notorious for this sort of action, having in the past affected other games and even the entirety of Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. Infinite Air gets release date and new trailer
There are two mountain sports games coming out this year with Steep in December and Infinite Air which now has a release date of October 25. The latter comes from HB Studios which most recently developed The Golf Club and it'll be available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC for $50. Cover athlete Mark McMorris is joined by his brother Craig, Silje Norendal, Torstein Horgmo, Danny Davis, and Ulrik Badertscher as playable snowboarders in the game. (more…)...

Demo for PES 2017 available today
The demo for Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 is out now on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It comes in at 3.3 GB and features two stadiums (Cam Nou and Neu Sonne Arena) and nine different teams: Germany, France, FC Barcelona, Arsenal FC, Club Atletico de Madrid, CR Flamengo, SC Corinthians Paulista, CA River Plate, CA Boca Juniors. The demo includes only exhibition games and doesn't have commentary. Those who play it will receive a bonus of 10,000GP to carry over to the full game....

Release date and beta announced for Steep along with a new trailer
One of the most intriguing reveals out of E3 was the mountain sports game Steep which will be out December 2. Ubisoft has released a new trailer out of Gamescom and also opened up registration for future "beta phases" on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Rocket League getting much more than just Rumble mode next month
Earlier this week Rocket League developer Psyonix announced a free new mode that features randomized power-ups which will be out in September. SSX now included in the EA Access Vault
The latest addition to the EA Access Vault on Xbox One is a game that released on the last generation of consoles. While the 2012 reboot of the SSX series struggled with sales it was generally well-received and was supported admirably by the publisher post-release. Power-ups featured in new mode for Rocket League next month
Rocket League has done a fantastic job of adding new creative ways to play post-release, with everything from modes that experiment with physics and the arenas to new base sports like hockey and basketball.
