Retail Release Announced for The Golf Club
In a case of incredibly unfortunate timing, considering the EA PGA Tour news this morning, at practically the same moment that news broke HB Studios announced that The Golf Club will be getting a retail release on April 28. Actually, we're left to assume that and find the listings on retail sites, since the press release from the company didn't specify much of anything about the product including how it will differentiate itself from the digital versions.

EA Sports today announced Rory McIlroy is taking over as the face of the PGA Tour franchise. The series, which dumped Tiger Woods before taking its year off to develop for the new consoles, will now be named Rory McIlory PGA Tour.
McIlroy has been on the cover of the series before, Tiger Woods 11, where he shared it with Woods. Check out screenshots and the official cover art in the FB album. Rory McIlroy PGA Tour will release in June.

After a Year Off EA Sports PGA Tour Faces Identify Crisis and Tougher Launch Climate
EA Sports may may never be able to recapture the dominating presence they once had in golf games. The Tiger Woods series hemorrhaged sales ever since Woods' image became tarnished and his inability to get back on top of the golf world prevented that from being overcome even years later. The quality of the product however was steady with the last release, Tiger 14, considered to be one of the best in the series' history.
Now though there's a distinct sense of conflict for the series that w...
Release of EA Sports PGA Tour Now Confirmed to be Moving Back
Last month it was noted that retailers were listing EA Sports PGA Tour for a June release. Having not discussed the product for months EA had given no indication of a delay though the absence of promotion spoke for them in this regard. Multiple retailers listing its release date in June was obviously no coincidence.
Out of yesterday's investor call EA released the schedule of games that will have released through the end of the fiscal year. In past quarterly reports PGA Tour was lis...

Maximum Family Games is cited as the publisher. Until now HB Studios has only floated the idea that they could take the game to retail without confirming it as a certainty.
A retail release would represent a significant move in attempting to reach a wider consumer base. The Golf Club went through ...

The Golf Club Patch Out Now on PS4 and XB1
The patch mentioned last week for The Golf Club, which was already out on PC, has now gone live on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Unlike a few previous updates to the game this one is more about making tweaks and bug fixes than adding new features. The next major update is expected this spring and will include a Career mode.
Though listed as "minor putting adjustments" the changes to that area of the game seem to be the most notable with some players really appreciating the ...
New Patch for The Golf Club On The Way
The runner-up for Best Post-Release Support in the 2014 Pastapadre Community Awards recently sent out another patch for the PC version which will soon come to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Golf Club's Twitter account noted today that it has been submitted to Sony and Microsoft which means it should be expected to go live within the next two weeks.
The patch isn't bringing in new features like some of the past ones have but instead is focused on bug fixes and adjustments bas...
