    For the first four days of release The Golf Club 2 was rendered largely unplayable due to server issues that made both Career Mode and Online Societies inaccessible. The problems appear to have been ironed out as the weekend went smoothly with all features working properly.     It's no longer a surprise when a new game releases and online connectivity is inconsistent or completely unfunctional.     Released in 2014 The Golf Club was among the first wave of sports games from independent developers that helped lead to the resurgence in the genre where sports (or unique takes on them) not being sufficiently covered by the big publishers are taken on by smaller studios.     With just three weeks until The Golf Club 2 releases another trailer has released to take a look at some of the new features for the game.     Microsoft today launched Xbox Game Pass, a subscription service that includes unlimited access to over 100 Xbox One and backwards compatible games. Xbox Game Pass is $10 a month and all those with Xbox Live Gold get to start with a free 14 day trial. The sports games available through the service at launch are NBA 2K16, The Golf Club, and Super Mega Baseball: Extra Innings. 2K17 could get added in the months ahead.     Though announced nearly a year ago it wasn't until today that the sequel to 2014's The Golf Club got an official release date. The Golf Club 2 will go out Tuesday, June 27 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
