    A new patch has gone live on PS4, Xbox One, and PC for FIFA 18 that delivers adjustments to both gameplay and Ultimate Team.     While the main selling point of the Xbox One X is the ability to showcase games in native 4K and HDR there are several other benefits that will be seen by playing games on the new more powerful system.     Out now on PC and coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the days/weeks ahead is a new patch for FIFA 18. An earlier update to the game addressed a number of areas, the most notable of which was improving the effectiveness of goalies. It's unclear what kind of support FIFA on Nintendo Switch will be receiving as EA Sports has yet to detail any patches for that version of the game or what their plans are for it post-release.     Sales results for September in North America are out via NPD and the sports games made their presence felt as they do every year. In a month with ridiculous competition within the genre NBA 2K18 finished second, Madden NFL 18 right behind it in third, FIFA 18 came in fourth, and NHL 18 was eighth.     Now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC is the first patch for FIFA 18. The update is a substantial one and touches most areas of the game, with the most notable adjustments being made to the effectiveness of goalies which has been cited by many as FIFA 18's most pressing early problem.  (more…)...
  • 10 hour trial for FIFA 18 now available through EA Access and Origin Access

    FIFA 18 can now be downloaded as a timed trial with EA Access on Xbox One and through Origin Access on PC. Subscribers will get 10 hours of playtime with the trial. The timer is ticking down whenever the game is loaded regardless of whether it is being played, menus are being navigated through, or if there is any activity taking place at all.     The Journey story mode, played by over 12 million people last year, naturally received a strong push for its sequel in FIFA 18 earlier at EA Play and it's getting another now. A large cast of soccer greats cameo or play larger roles as Alex Hunter experiences the challenges that now come with being a star.
