The World Cup final will be played at 230ET/1130PT on Sunday with Spain going up against the Netherlands. Once again using my scientific method of playing 2010 FIFA World Cup with the favorite (in this case Spain) which after the semi-finals sports a sterling 50% success rate I have determined how things will play out. Continue on to check out the game videos, screenshots, and final stats screen and leave your thoughts on who you think will win in the comments! (more…)...

EA Sports has announced the Creation Center feature for FIFA 11. Essentially it is FIFA's own version of Teambuilder which was first introduced in the NCAA Football series. The functionality will launch alongside the release of the game through the EA Sports Football World website. Create a player by choosing his appearance, accessories and attributes and then create an original team with a distinctive crest and kits, complete with home stadium. Fans will be able to share their created pla...

The FIFA series has settled into mid-October releases which in turn have provided a cushion from the the NBA games (first Tuesday of October). However this year with the release of FIFA 11 the game is scheduled for September 28th. The reason it has been pushed up is linked to EA Sports MMA. That game will hit stores on October 19th. Again I can't help but think there are just too many sports games being released in a very short stretch of time. In just a six week span EA Sports will be putt...

A few months back we found out that EA Sports would be bringing a version of Madden to Facebook. The next in line to make it to Facebook will be FIFA with the game being branded FIFA Superstars. The news was made in EA Sports president Peter Moore's latest blog posting. The game will be created through Playfish, the social gaming company that EA acquired late last year. Leveraging our football gaming knowledge and marrying it with the social gaming expertise of our partners at Playfish is su...

Over the last year or so I've really started to take more of an interest in soccer, and though I've found myself enjoying the FIFA franchise it has been to a somewhat limited extent. I've spent most of my gaming time with Online Team Play which has provided for the cooperative play where I could concentrate on a single position and learn the game in the process. The actual standard mode hasn't been all that compelling to me. In the past I've had a tendency to enjoy the off-year FIFA tit...
  • 2010 FIFA World Cup Hard Drive Evaluation

With 2010 FIFA World Cup in hand I have gone through and timed different loading areas when running off the disc compared to running off the hard drive on the 360. Installing to the hard drive not only has proven to cut down on load times, in some cases significantly, but it also reduces stress to the system and the noise it produces. World Cup has some lengthy load times, and surprisingly the hard drive install didn't offer much improvement in loading to the main menu or into a match. Ho...
