Last week the news broke that the NBA Live series was getting a name change to NBA Elite. Along with that would be the addition of real-time physics and a focus on analog controls. Today EA Sports made it all official. In addition, a new skill...

Few like the name change, most everyone likes the idea of real-time physics being added, and there is a pretty even split when it comes to right stick usage. That results...

Now thanks the OXM preview in its July edition it is revealed that the game will also be introducing real-time physics. The first indications that the NBA Live franchise was in the midst of going through a transformation of sorts began making their way out in early February. Talk of the series going in a different direction came from departing team members which EA Sports did little to deny. Now the first signs of big change are being to be discovered, and prior to E3 where it is likely that at least some of the vision for the game will be laid out. The NBA Live name is no more. This year's NBA title from EA...

Both EA Sports and 2K Sports have now presented their spin on the Mike Wang departure from EA and return to 2K. Given the sales discrepancy between NBA Live 10 and NBA 2K10 it is shaping up to be a critical year. ...
