There has been a lot of talk about NBA Elite 11 and its incoming features but so far little in the way of actual demonstration of it in action and even a noticeable lack of images. That remains even as its rival has surprisingly seen a deluge of gameplay videos. Understandably that has some nervous about the current state of NBA Elite 11. While that may not subside until the demo hits there are some new details on the game that have recently made their way out. (more…)...
  • NBA Elite 11 Physics Focused Video

EA Sports has released a new video that goes over the real-time physics that has been implemented in NBA Elite 11. Things like weight being a big factor, the ability to break out of animations, the ball being knocked away dynamically, and improved rebounding are touched on. This is probably the first video for NBA Elite 11 that I've felt shone it in a largely positive light, though I still have great deal of trepidation towards the title based on all the past looks at the game and the way i...

EA Sports has released a new trailer focusing on the "Become Legendary" mode in NBA Elite 11. Become Legendary is the name being given to what would be most recognized as Be a Pro in NHL or FIFA. Created players in the mode will also be used in the online EASBA (similar to EASHL in NHL). Both were originally discovered back in June but EA Sports had yet to publicly acknowledge them until now. The trailer pushes the Gamestop pre-order and bonus but does provide the first discussion of the th...
  • More Influential: Michael Jordan or NBA Jam?

The NBA is pretty much the only sport these days that features a legit head-to-head competition between companies. That is being evidenced even more this year with both 2K Sports and EA Sports making big moves for consumer interest and market share. 2K Sports signed Michael Jordan as the cover athlete and NBA Elite 11 includes a free downloadable copy of NBA Jam. Which one will have a stronger influence on a potential purchase decision? Michael Jordan: The greatest NBA player of all time is...
  • NBA Elite 11 Features ESPN Presentation

A video from a foreign outlet at a recent EA Sports event has inadvertently revealed that ESPN presentation is present in NBA Elite 11. While there had been speculation that ESPN (or ABC) style presentation would be included based on the new commentary team this is the first sign of it to emerge. The video also includes the first opportunity, though quite brief, to see true 5v5 gameplay from the new default camera angle. Continue on to check out that video (primarily :31 where the ESPN wipe is...
  • NBA Elite 11 Includes Free NBA Jam

Well this is certainly surprising news. All indications seemed to point to NBA Jam arriving on the 360 and PS3 as a downloadable title sometime next year. However today EA Sports announced that copies of NBA Elite 11 will include a one-time-use code to download NBA Jam for free! There are currently no plans to sell NBA Jam on its own, the only way to get it will be by purchasing a new copy of NBA Elite 11. NBA JAM has been optimized for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 to truly deliver a next-...
  • Latest NBA Elite 11 Controls Video

Dime Magazine has released a new video for NBA Elite 11 focusing on the controls, the subject of which has gotten somewhat tiring, though this video does include some footage of the game with full teams on the court rather than just one on one. Unfortunately this comes across as another in a string of disappointing glimpses at the game which EA Sports has pumped up with a lot of talk but failed to deliver on with the media shown to date. Continue on to watch the video and leave your thoughts i...
  • Lebron Joins The Heat

There is a new big three in the NBA as Lebron James has decided to join up with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh on the Miami Heat crushing the city of Cleveland in the process. While this represents an intimidating triumvirate the rest of the roster will probably end up consisting of Mario Chalmers, second round draft picks, and any players that can be persuaded to join the team at the minimum to make a run at the title. Looking at this from the perspective of how it will affect NBA Elite 11 and...
