NBA Live 14 Disappoints With First Look at Actual Gameplay
EA Sports plans to release extended 5-on-5 footage of NBA Live 14 on Friday but the reveal of a brief teaser clip has eroded what little may have been left of the remaining optimism that anyone could realistically still be carrying at this point for the game. Though a decent amount of information feature wise has been discussed the company has held back from showing the game until now. The first look at the game in action - which was deliberately selected because they felt it would impress o...
NBA Live 14 Gameplay Video Coming Friday; Short Teaser Shows Game in Action
There has been a lot of talk about features and philosophies going into NBA Live 14 but what EA Sports long ago claimed they realized they had to do - show the game off and be transparent in an effort to prove it's not just talk after three years off from releasing games - had still yet to happen. That will apparently change on Friday with the release of the first 5-on-5 gameplay video.
The company backed that up by releasing a glimpse of gameplay action which for the first time shows tha...

With Next-Gen Nearing What Are Your Current Plans Regarding Sports Games?
With only five weeks until the launch of next-gen the four sports titles on-hand for release have shown and described very little of substance to convince consumers that they should be considered for purchase. Outside of FIFA 14, which by appearing at various conferences resulted in lengthy gameplay videos making it to the public, they've either barely been seen and disappointed (Madden NFL 25) or have been kept hidden (NBA 2K14, NBA Live 14).
Back in early August the polls showed a signi...
EA Sports Misses Their Prime Opportunity to Showcase NBA Live 14
The one advantage that EA Sports held over the competition in regards to NBA Live 14 was an ability to promote the game and their best interests early. The company did not have a current-gen offering to be concerned with overshadowing and they would only benefit by pushing more consumers to wait for next-gen. That they let this window pass without doing much of anything is another bad sign that will only increase skepticism until they prove they have a product on their hands that is worthy o...

EA Sports today announced that NBA Live 14 will release for both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on November 19. That means it will be out in advance of the One but four days late for the PS4.
Missing the PS4 launch by four days is actually a bigger deal than it might seem on the surface. With NBA 2K14 out there on day one, EA will unquestionably miss out on some potential sales from those looking to grab games along with the console. There no longer will be the decision to be made between...
