Today not only brought the console release of FIFA 14 but also versions for iOS (download through iTunes) and Android (download through Google Play) devices. The game is free-to-play like Madden NFL 25's mobile offering which means the focus is on the Ultimate Team aspect and in-app purchases. Controls are similar as it utilizes screen taps and swipes. Other features include Match Day, online multiplayer, penalty shootouts, and brilliant graphics for a phone/tablet game. $5 will unlock Kick ...

The mobile version of Madden NFL 25 that came out in late August on iOS has now arrived for Android devices and can be downloaded through Google Play. For the first time Madden on mobile is free-to-play (FIFA will be that way as well later this month) and with that in mind the primary focus has shifted to an "Ultimate Team" concept. Features for Madden NFL 25 include the front-and-center Ultimate Team, solo challenges for the team to play through, offensive shootout mode, head-to-head tur...

NFL Runner: Football Dash released today for both iOS (download from iTunes) and Android (download from Google Play) devices. Similar to games like Temple Run or Subway Surfers the challenge is to run for as long as possible. NFL Runner is free to play and supported by microtransactions. Players swype the screen left and right to move laterally, up to jump, and down to slide in an effort to collect coins and power-ups and avoid obstacles that would bring the run to an end. EA Sports cu...

Madden NFL 25 released today for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad while Android will have to wait until later in the year. It represents EA's first attempt at a free-to-play sports game on mobile that will be driven by microtransactions instead of the up-front price. The game has been available on the Canadian market since last week where has received somewhat unfavorable reviews due in part to that structure. Features for Madden NFL 25 include Ultimate Team, solo challenges for the team to p...

Since its release almost two months ago now Your Turn Football has been exceedingly well received. Check out my initial impressions if you missed them. It has become the only game I play on my phone (have 28 active games at the moment to attend to). It's highly recommended and arguably the best sports mobile game since New Star Soccer. With that in mind I turned to Pick6 Studios developer Michael Saperstein for insight on various areas of the game that users may have questions about and t...

Last month it was confirmed that the mobile version of FIFA 14 would be coming to Android in addition to iOS. Feature wise the controls are being altered again for FIFA 14 with dragging on the screen to move players, swiping the ball towards the goal to shoot, and tapping on players to pass to them. EA Sports has now expanded on what to expect out of the popular mobile version which won the community award for the best in category last year. Other features include the arrival of Match Day...

Your Turn Football has been out for about a week and in that time has become the sole game being played on my phone. The competitive nature of the turn-based gameplay - which has surprisingly produced fairly realistic results on the field and relies on some strategic decisions being made - has proven to be addictive and fun.
