Backbreaker 2: Vengeance Finally Arrives in Android Market
The popular Backbreaker 2: Vengeance app has finally made its way to Android. The game had been exclusive to the Sony Xperia Play since the release of that phone at the end of May. Backbreaker 2: Vengeance adds in the ability to play as defenders along with obstacles to the base 'Tackle Alley' mini-game from the original Backbreaker. It goes for $2.99 in the Market.
Check out the review from late last year of the iPhone version for more thoughts on Backbreaker 2: Vengeance which placed se...
9 Innings Baseball 2011 Impressions
Finally a legitimate sports game has come to Android while it has been available on iOS as well for some time now. During all the traveling involved with the E3 trip I downloaded 9 Innings Baseball 2011 and was impressed with the total package especially given that the game is free for Android and only .99 on iOS devices. Icebreaker Hockey iPhone Review
By Brian Sipple
“Are you related to Jean-Claude Van Damme? Because Jean-Claude Van Damme you're sexy!”
If you didn’t know any better you might fooled into thinking Icebreaker was a cheesy pickup line app, chock full of gems like this one guaranteed to keep your dwindling batting average above the Mendoza Line (That or Muay Thai kicked in the face if there is a relation). Even better it’s a spinoff of Natural Motion’s bestselling Backbreaker series for the iPhone and iPod Touch ...
Tecmo Bowl Throwback iPhone Review
By Brian Sipple
Nostalgia is a funny thing. Those who enjoyed playing Tecmo Bowl in the late 80s and early 90s are likely fond of its over-the-top arcade style of football. Tecmo Koei Games is no doubt banking on the former with the release of Tecmo Bowl Throwback on iOS. The game is attached with a hefty price tag of $7.99 and features three mo...
Tecmo Bowl Throwback Out Now for iOS
Tecmo Bowl Throwback arrived today for iOS devices. The popular retro game is available now for the iPhone (3GS/4), iPod touch (3rd/4th generation), and iPad with a hefty $7.99 price tag. TBT was released as a downloadable offering for the 360 and PS3 last year and was poorly received but may have better life on mobile devices.
There are three modes included (Preseason, Season, All-Star) with a total of 30 teams. Despite having the opportunity to obtain the NFL license to use in a mobile ...
Icebreaker Coming to iOS Next Week
Natural Motion is set to release their latest mobile game for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad on June 2nd. Icebreaker will go for $2.99 and is similar in nature to the popular Backbreaker apps that have over five million sales to date.
Just like Backbreaker's "Tackle Alley" Icebreaker involves evading waves of defenders only instead of scoring touchdowns the end result is to score goals. Spins and deeks are at the user's disposal and progressing through levels will result in new unlocked...
First Touch Soccer iPhone Review
By Brian Sipple
Ask any soccer coach or player and they’ll tell you that even if you can kick like Messi or “bend it like Beckham” it won’t matter without a good first touch – that initial contact a player makes with the ball to bring it under his control. It’s fitting, then, that First Touch Soccer’s opening impression is one that immediately captivates the player, and goes on to provide the fullest soccer experience on the App Store. (more…)...
