Given that it is still somewhat early in its development stage there isn't a whole lot to go on for EA Sports UFC. The company picked up the license from struggling THQ back in June and there have been indications they may roll out the first iteration in 2013. The series is being made out of the EA Canada studio with the Fight Night team handling development and there is a strong likelihood that the new women's division will factor in. Through an IGN interview of EA Sports VP Andrew Wilso...

Women in MMA games have generally been used as promotional tools. They've been added in an exploitative manner in order to increase exposure for terrible games that were struggling to justify their existence. That will be changing when it comes to the UFC and the product now being developed by EA Sports. UFC president Dana White had long dismissed the idea of creating a women's division but just recently told SI that it is "absolutely going to happen" and in the near future. With the UFC ...

A new update to fighter stats was pushed out today for UFC Undisputed 3. A number of fighters have received ratings adjustments following recent performances. As to the long awaited patch sadly it's been almost six months since the game released and seemingly there is still no light at the end of the tunnel. The studio that made the game is shut down but THQ would have nothing to gain by lying about a patch still being in the pipeline for the product. However at this point it's completely...

While there is still a lot to learn about the plans for the EA Sports UFC the first piece of news - that the team behind the Fight Night series is developing it - prompted considerably mixed reaction from fans. EA Sports has made the announcement that development on EA Sports UFC has begun. That would appear to be the name of the new series - not that it was much in question - but that there is any news so soon and a tease of more to come following the transfer of the license in early June is a bit of a surprise.  (more…)...
  • Bellator: MMA Onslaught Now Available

    Posted July 5th, 2012 at 10:15 am 4 Comments »
Bellator: MMA Onslaught released yesterday on both XBLA and PSN for $15. The game delivers action meant to be fast paced arcade-style with accessible controls, online play, and a roster of just eight fighters - with the focus instead falling on the create-a-fighter feature. The positive here with a digital download is that a trial version is available before having to make a purchase. Early reports have not been encouraging - and following the disaster of Supremacy MMA (which was also m...
