The last eight days of feature teases have provided very little to go on for EA Sports UFC. The eight gameplay features in question will be revealed at the EA press conference next Monday. In the meantime the company has released the above image showcasing UFC Lightweight Champion Benson Henderson's face and touting the "unprecedented fighter likeness". This is an actual in-game render and not the CGI seen in the earlier Ignite engine trailer. With the game not releasing until next Apr...

With E3 now less than two weeks away EA Sports is already revving up the hype with a series of teases for the UFC franchise to be made over the next eight days. Given that the first entry in the series from the company, which acquired the license last March, is still about a year away from release the spotlight it is being given suggests a high level of confidence in development and high hopes for it becoming a powerful franchise. EA is looking to generate excitement about the series far in ...

Earlier this morning FIFA 14 was confirmed to be shown at the Microsoft console reveal event tomorrow. Though it comes in less specific terms EA Sports seems to be confirming UFC to appear there as well. No word however has come on Madden or NBA Live yet. The social media accounts for EA UFC are teasing the first news on the game - which we know won't be releasing before April 2014 and likely to be only for the next generation consoles - to be out tomorrow. There is no way they'd be doing...

When EA Sports announced their current lineup for fiscal year 2014 - which runs from April 2013 through March 2014 - they omitted two games that only weeks ago would have been expected present. Tiger Woods is going on hiatus for a year but speculation had UFC coming late 2013 or early 2014. Now EA has confirmed through Joystiq that UFC is simply not planned for release this fiscal year.  (more…)...

UFC Undisputed 3 had potential to be right there in the discussion on what was the best sports game of the year. A few design decisions, and the disruption that came with the sale of the license to EA, ultimately ended up burying any chance at consideration. In some ways UFC 3 benefited from the struggles THQ had been having as they attempted to make the series more appealing - and hopefully profitable - but it also encountered issues that otherwise would not have been present and ultimately...
