Legal troubles continue for Electronic Arts despite settling cases regarding player likenesses in college games and pricing tactics after receiving exclusivity for Madden. The latest is the now defunct THQ filing suit against EA and Zuffa (parent company of UFC) regarding the transfer of the UFC license that took place last summer. THQ is asking for the deal to be nullified and rights returned to them with any profits from the upcoming EA Sports UFC theirs to keep. The company claims that...

There has never really been any question that EA Sports UFC would incorporate the women's division which debuted back in February. As written about last year it not only made sense in terms of marketing but since then its relevance and legitimacy has become too great to overlook. A game without the division would simply be an incomplete representation of the UFC. Ronda Rousey has become a huge star and one of the faces of the UFC. Today she confirmed her inclusion in EA Sports UFC in a...

Amazon has added placeholder box art to listings (One - PS4) for the upcoming UFC game from EA Sports. Interestingly despite having been referred to up until now as "EA Sports UFC" a few retailers including Amazon and Walmart have switched the product name to "UFC". All the EA Sports titles feature the logo prominently in the center so its presence in the box art doesn't suggest otherwise. Certainly the EA Sports in front of UFC helps define the product better than without it and it will lik...

The presentation made to attendees of E3 went into all of them however and now the company has released full descriptions of each. Here are some basic impressions from the first day being on the show floor of E3 which featured prominently the upcoming EA Sports games. Included at the end of this piece are the short videos of Madden NFL 25 captured before that point as the taking of them had been approved to begin the day. Thoughts on all the games will be expanded upon i...
