In recent years the NCAA Football series has lacked ambition, innovation, and even proper execution of features. With NCAA Football 14 however those concerns have been largely washed away and the result is a fun football video game that isn't necessarily a great college football video game. Continue on for an assessment of where NCAA 14 has succeeded and where it falls short in this Hits and Misses review.  (more…)...

The NCAA today announced they will not be renewing their contract with EA Sports for the rights to their name and logo. That means NCAA Football 14 at the very least is the last game that will be able to use that name and it may be the final blow to a series that was already teetering on the edge of viability.  (more…)...

Four offensive and defensive styles will be available to choose from and players will fit better into specific ones they are suited for rather than if they are inserted on a team that has a different style in mind. With NCAA Football 14 having released earlier this week those who did not pick it up already have a couple options to consider if still interested in doing so. The Toys "R" Us promo continues through Saturday (today) with the in-store offer being a $25 gift card with purchase to put towards another item or items at a later date. If that isn't an option then it's definitely worth noting that Amazon already has a lower price on NCAA 14. The Xbox 360 version is going for $49.50 (this offe...

The first sets of named rosters for NCAA Football 14 are now available to grab through the Roster Share feature. There will be some inaccuracies but this roster is likely sufficient for most who want to get a jump on Dynasty now rather than waiting for more enhanced sets. When those come around though I'll switch the file hosted under my gamertag on the 360 and point to another on the PS3. ♦Xbox 360:...

Upon the first announcement of NCAA Football 14 receiving an Ultimate Team mode the initial reaction of many including myself was to express how it really didn't seem to be a good fit and its appeal would be limited. An agreement with the NFLPA allowed for access to active professional players that would be recreated as their collegiate selves.  (more…)...

The class action settlement that came down from the lawsuit that claimed EA raised the price of football games after securing exclusive licenses is now being held up by an individual taking issue with the cut the lawyers received in the deal. An extension to the period to make claims was enacted back in April with payouts expected to be made over the summer. That time frame now looks to be pushed back to next year according to Kotaku who reports on the person who filed an objection and is...
