    EA Sports today announced that SmartGlass will be utilized with the Xbox One version of Madden NFL 25. SmartGlass is available on smartphones and tablets (iOS, Android, Windows) as well as PCs running Windows 8.     Five weeks of the NFL season are now in the books and only three teams remain undefeated. Injuries to Julio Jones, Luke Joeckel, and Brian Hoyer have ended their seasons while E.J. Manual, Clay Matthews, Owen Daniels, and Michael Vick will miss at least a few weeks. The Vikings signed Josh Freeman (not the starter yet) and the Giants traded for Jon Beason.     The roster update following week four of the season is expected out by Friday afternoon on both the Xbox 360 and PS3. The trades of Eugene Monroe to the Ravens and Levi Brown to the Steelers are included. The Buccaneers releasing Josh Freeman today obviously came too late to make it in for this update.     In what will likely extend to all retailers Amazon is the first to post a pre-order bonus for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 edition of Madden NFL 25. To no surprise it relates to Ultimate Team mode which has been leaned on for the bonuses in all of EA Sports' recent slate of games in order to further push the revenue generating mode.     EA Sports today held a Q&A session on Twitter relating to the visual aspects of next-gen Madden NFL 25 on the heels of the trailer released yesterday.     A quarter of the NFL season is now in the books for all but two teams offering a now significant stretch of data to consider when evaluating player ratings in Madden NFL 25.     EA Sports today released a new trailer for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 edition of Madden NFL 25 which will be out three days in advance of each console's release.     When the settlement to the likeness case was announced yesterday many wondered what it was about the agreement that resulted in the shuttering of EA Sports' college football series. With the dollar amount of the settlement now known it has become clear that it wasn't the money involved but rather the avoidance of future litigation and terms that made the series no longer a viable product going forward.  (more…)...
