    Usually by this point in the year not only has the upcoming Madden been officially "announced" but the marketing cycle kicked off with cover related activities. The trend of fan voting to choose representatives for the cover has lost significant steam as of late however and it seems evident now that Madden NFL 15 is unlikely to feature a tournament and may go away from fan cover selection completely.  (more…)...

    There is really no period of irrelevance for the NFL especially now that events have been spread out further to ensure something big happens every month of the year. The next in line is the start of free agency which opens up Tuesday afternoon. Madden ratings do not fluctuate much from the final roster update of the previous season. Players may or may not come in with the same exact rating but they'll typically be within a point or two of where they stood before if changes have been made....

    Last week the judge in the Ed O'Bannon class-action case vs the NCAA ordered the two sides to enter settlement talks. Naturally questions have started to come in about whether this could accelerate a return of college football (and other sports) video games.     A competition has been opened for those who wish to design potential logos and uniforms for teams in Madden's Franchise mode. Submissions will be accepted only until March 7 and additional details on how to proceed can be found in the blog posting here. The designs will be used for the relocation cities in Franchise that were introduced in Madden NFL 25.     To the surprise of absolutely no one, the World Champion Seattle Seahawks benefit greatly from the last roster update for Madden NFL 25 and finish the season rated 92 as a team. The Broncos on the other hand take significant hits and their final rating is 90. The update was released yesterday on Xbox One, PS4, PS3, and 360.
