    In a recent Press Row Podcast episode I proposed the idea again that MLB: The Show, which has struggled mightily with online performance and stability since inception, should offer an "Extra Innings" mode online. That proposal generated a significant response from listeners on social media and forums intrigued by the concept and the benefits it would offer - along with expressing hope that other sports games could include unique online experiences.  (more…)...

    The 21st and final roster update for Madden NFL 15 is available now on all systems. This update follows the completion of the season with the Patriots winning the Super Bowl over the Seahawks in dramatic fashion. Check out all the changes made in the new roster with the spreadsheet here. It's not only the two Super Bowl teams altered in this update however.     EA Sports today released a "Super Bowl Edition" of Madden NFL 15 as a digital download on Xbox One. The game is being offered for $24 to Xbox Gold subscribers and $60 to those without it. It'll be made available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 on Tuesday, January 27. The "Super Bowl Edition" is the standard Madden 15 but comes with $20 worth of Ultimate Team content.     The latest roster update for Madden NFL 15 released today on all systems which follows the Conference Championship games and leads into the Super Bowl.     Work has continued on the return of Mutant Football League despite an unsuccessful crowd-funding campaign in 2013.     With NPD reports in for December the entirety of 2014 can be analyzed and three sports games finished in the top ten of sales for the year. The three in question are regulars when rounding up the best-sellers annually. Madden NFL 15 finished as the second biggest seller in 2014. Only Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was able to top it.
