Part 1 Originally my plan was that my next Campus Legend update would recap the rest of the High School experience. Once I played the very next game though I saw some cool things that I wanted to put in a new highlight video which you can find at the end of this write-up. I hope to cover the rest of High School and the start of the college experience with the next posting, which could come as early as Saturday evening but definitely by Sunday morning. Padre High took on Federal Way in the ...
  • NCAA Football 08 impressions

***I'll be updating this with impressions. At least one time on Sunday and another on Monday. I may be able to squeeze an extra one or two in there also. So check back every day for the latest.  (7/14 - AM) Coming out of the demo I really wasn't very enthusiastic about NCAA Football. It just didn't do much for me, especially when seeing how Madden seems to be shaping up better than ever. The 60fps clearly was a huge improvement, and there were several gameplay additi...

*Click the thumbnails throughout to view the full size images. Highlight video follows at the end. Pasta Padre's legend in NCAA Football 08 begins in High School. He chose to begin there rather than taking on the place of a current college player. First was creating his background and position as well as his look. There are a ton of real cities available to choose from as the hometown. The uniform options were pretty standard. Not a great variety in player faces despite having something like...

I now have the game. Leave any questions you have regarding NCAA Football 08 here and I'll try to get to answering as many of them as possible. Gameplay, Campus Legend, player ratings and online play are really my focus. I won't be able to answer Dynasty related questions. If you have player ratings questions limit them to no more than five. Also please specify team and number, not the name of the player. Just go ahead and leave your questions in the comments! Continue on to read the cu...
  • NCAA Football 08 highlight video and screenshot requests

    Posted July 13th, 2007 at 10:15 am 123 Comments »
If you would like me to make to capture a screenshot of a specific team or player, or if you would like me to create a highlight video featuring specific team/s or a player, this is where you can let me know. Leave any details you would like to see in the comments. The more specific you are the better. If there is a song you would like to go along with it you can mention that as well.  Because each video takes a couple hours from start to finish, I won't be able to do one for everybody...

I have the game in hand and have started towards the goals below. The plan is as follows... Initially I will be playing some in order to form my impressions and compare to the demo while geting enough experience to answer gameplay questions. I will be starting up my Campus Legend reports including screens and videos. I will begin as a CB.  I will start up a thread for questions about the game and attempt to answer as many as possible. This includes ratings questions, which I don...
  • NCAA Football 08 mid-air collisions

I figured another aspect of NCAA that would be easy enough to show off from the demo would be the mid-air collisions. I went ahead and captured a few in the video below. No longer can a receiver leap to make a catch without worry of getting hit while in the air and having the ball jarred loose while also risking possible injury. ...
