With NCAA Football 08 now released and having had a few weeks to play it comes time to start generating ideas for NCAA Football 09. This is when input can be considered as pretty soon the point of no return will have been reached for what goes into and is focused on for 09. I will have the opportunity to communicate ideas and opinions to the team working on 09, so feel free to leave your thoughts on what you would like to see in the game and what you would like improved. You can do so by leavin...

After two weeks, All-Pro Football 2K8 has sold 76,737 copies on the Xbox 360 and 23,618 on the PS3. The drop from week one to two was 59% and it isn't expected to have legs with Madden releasing soon. At a Take Two conference call on Tuesday, they commented on the sales of the game.  Via Kotaku: "We're not terribly pleased and not disappointed. We're watching closely and are going to act pro-actively when Madden comes out. We know we're in competition with them" ...

  • Madden Community Event set for August 9th
    by
    Posted August 2nd, 2007 at 2:57 am 14 Comments »
The Madden 08 Community Event will officially take place August 8-10th at the Tiburon studio in Orlando. The time with the game will be spent on Thursday the 9th as the other two are travel days. For myself that accounts for a big chunk of time considering there couldn't be much further of a flight within the contiguous states than Seattle to Orlando while connecting through California.  As opposed to past community events where there was more significant amount of time before the...
  • Madden 08 opening video

Below is apparently the video that will play as Madden 08 loads up. Hard not to get psyched while watching. However I found myself more excited for the actual upcoming NFL season than Madden since it seemed to be more centered on real footage than game footage. ...
  • Closer look at Create-A-Stadium and Superstar mode
    by
    Posted August 1st, 2007 at 1:37 am 10 Comments »
IGN has posted two new Madden 08 articles. One details the stadium creator, and the other goes over Superstar mode. Superstar is very similar to NCAA Football's Campus Legend mode although it has one element that is specific to Madden. The use of "weapons" in the game and working your player towards acquiring them. I do find IGN's assertion that Superstar was the "best thing about Madden 07" to be puzzling. While the concept was great, the horrible camera a...
