My interview with Peter Moore has been completed and I'd like to thank him and those at EA Sports who helped make it possible. We talked for over 20 minutes about some of the details of and issues relating to the NFL exclusive license being extended. Later this evening I should have the full recording of the interview available to download and listen to. Here are some of the topics I brought up that you can look forward to hearing discussed: How does EA feel about the negative reactio...

The Wall Street Journal has revealed that the NFL has extended the exclusive licensing agreement with EA Sports by three years. This means that NFL exclusivity belongs to EA through at least Madden 2013. The official announcement will be made later today. At an EA briefing for analysts today, Mr. Moore plans announce the extension of a deal with the National Football League and the NFL Players Association through 2012 that will continue EA's position as the exclusive maker of NFL videogames...

There was only one game on night four of NBA Live 08 OTP which had the Chicago Bulls @ LA Clippers. It turned out to be one of the cleanest played games thus far even though one side was in control the entire way throughout. Where some of the earlier games had a frantic pace and predominantly centered on quick scores and easy baskets, this one had a more controlled pace and came down to half court offense and rebounding. The rebounding discrepancy tells the story of the game. Chris Kama...

IGN has posted up a preview and four gameplay videos from NBA Ballers: Chosen One. The preview goes into detail on the topics below among others. -Oddly enough Midway thinks of Ballers not so much as a sports game, but more like a sports game built around fighting game mechanics. -Midway is also implementing a super move system that bestows ungodly abilities to both the 80+ NBA stars (including 15 legends) and your created baller. -The story mode is centered on custom-made television ...

Another session of NBA Live 08 online team play will go on tonight (Friday) with a meet-up in the created pastapadre lobby room at 5pm PT / 8pm ET. The game will be recorded and I'll be taking down the stats for a recap. Due to different circumstances I'm limited to just taking part in one game tonight and won't be available tomorrow but I still wanted to attempt to get one in. The next roster update (currently scheduled for around All-Star Weekend) will bring some matchups that have adde...

Right around mid-season I wrote how Adrian Peterson had positioned himself to be the leading contender for the cover of Madden 09. Along with him there is a decent sized list of players I could come up with who would also get consideration. A few however may have dropped off the list while another entered it after the Super Bowl today. Eli Manning, as Super Bowl winner and MVP, becomes a definite possibility. Until the last game of the regular season no one would've given him any shot. Bu...

Willis McGahee came away victorious at the Madden Bowl by rolling over Marshawn Lynch in the championship game. EA Community Manager Will Kinsler posted up a series of blogs from the event. The blogs are basically a play-by-play of the evening and include a bunch of pictures. The final one has his thoughts on The NFL Experience which accompanies each Super Bowl.
