The second roster update for NFL Head Coach 09 is now out for both the PS3 and 360. It includes a ton rating increases/decreases, health changes, and added players. There are also transactions that were completed for the update but they are not included in this list. Given that Head Coach begins in the offseason it won't be incorporating current injuries in the roster updates. Continue on to view the details of what the update offers. (more…)...

Madden producer Phil Frazier has informed me that the second roster update for 09, which did not arrive as scheduled over the weekend, is now out for both the 360 and PS3. Apparently there were several bugs that were caught in testing that had to be ironed out first before going through yet another round of testing. This update will be the same as originally detailed. Because of the big events from week one such as Tom Brady's injury and subsequent placement on the IR another roster updat...

While I'm going to save a more detailed comparison of the build that was played at the community event for the final version of the game, I wanted to get up some random things I noted from playing the NBA Live 09 demo. You can check out the videos that I recorded here and more impressions of the demo from Andrew over at NLSC. Other than wishing that the NBA Academy had been included in some fashion the demo does provide a good representation of what to expect from the game. (more…...

In an ironic turn of events the injury that appears to have ended Tom Brady's season will also put a big hole in the delayed roster update for Madden 09 that has been heavily discussed over the weekend. The relief that will come when the update finally does arrive will only be followed by the anticipation of the next one given the dramatic ramifications of the injury. The update will already be severely out of date. While it was absent some recent transactions (along with not including Ch...

Never would I have imagined the news of the second roster update for Madden 09 would turn into such a dramatic event. With EA stating that the update would be out sometime today people were ready to grab it just in time for the opening Sunday slate of NFL games. As time passed and the possibility of it not arriving today became more and more apparent the frustration erupted resulting in the second most commented article in the history of the site. While much of that sentiment is justified so...

After a day of the NBA Live 09 demo being out for the 360 it looks like in general it has been well received. I've come across issues that are still apparent or marginally improved from when I last played the game but I'll be saving those thoughts for a full write-up this weekend. I really would've liked if they had included some elements of the NBA Academy because outside of 365 and Player DNA elements that are being prominently displayed through the demo it is tough to get a handle on the ...

In a surprise early release the demo for NBA Live 09 is now available for the 360. Given that this is a Thursday it could also bode well for the PS3 receiving it today, though no confirmation of that is available at this time. The demo wasn't expected to be out until the second or third week of the month. In the demo you can Play as the Celtics vs Lakers but EA has given the opportunity to play with them from different points in the season as a way to showcase the Live 365 and Player DNA ...
