NBA 2K9 Living Rosters and 2K Insider
The highly touted announcement for NBA 2K9 turns out in part to be Living Rosters which has been known for a few weeks now. The difference though is that it will not be predicated on changes to NBA.com as previously believed, but instead will be done manually whenever it is warranted. In essence it appears as though 2K has assigned the task of roster updates to an individual who will remain active throughout the season in providing them.
As with the competition, you can expect to see roster...
Kevin Garnett Reveals NBA 2K9 Secret?
In an interview with Jon Robinson of ESPN, NBA 2K9 cover athlete Kevin Garnett may have revealed a new aspect to the game's online play. I'm not sure if it can actually be termed a mode but it could be something interesting for people to follow. Whether this is the big news 2K Sports has been alluding to is uncertain. You can check out the full interview here.
Why all the mystery? Seems the commercial Garnett is shooting is for a secret new mode in NBA 2K9, the same game that also features ...
Solid NBA 2K9 Preview
While we are now three weeks out from release of NBA 2K9 and have not yet seen the game in action (outside of the early E3 footage) it is only a matter of time until the media finally arrives. That appears to be inching closer as Jon Robinson of ESPN has posted up a full preview of the game. There is also the big online feature still to be officially unveiled and one would think that would be happening within the next week or so.
Last year, gamers complained about 2K8 being a tad slower tha...
Closer Look at the Madden 09 Sales
Official NPD sales numbers for August have been released and as expected it was Madden that dominated the month. Dollar wise thanks to a shift towards the more expensive 360/PS3 versions as well as the Collector's Edition it was a bigger pickup than just the total sales would represent.
360: 1,000,000 (+103,400)
PS3: 643,000 (+306,800)
Wii: 115,800 (+20,000)
PS2: 42...

Here is the complete list of changes for the third Madden 09 roster update. There are some ratings adjustments, though just one week of play won't correspond to a significant difference. It is the injuries that dominate the importance of this update. Tom Brady and Vince Young are the biggest names affected.

Madden 09 Sales Increase From Last Year
In an interview with Gamasutra EA Sports president Peter Moore stated that the sales for Madden 09 are up 6% over 08 and have accounted for $133.5 million in retail sales. Despite pre-orders being down, both NCAA and Madden produced strong sales numbers besting last year. This is being attributed primarily to the improved quality of the product.
We've also seen other elements come into play this year, with which their affect on sales would be arguable. The first is the community interacti...
