I've been sent some information in regards to the next Madden roster update. The hope is to have it out by the end of next week. This will be the final one for 09 and will include the removal of players from the IR. It will not be limited to the teams that were in the playoffs as it will include updates for the entire league. Playing Madden Raises Football IQ
A study by the University of Oregon’s Warsaw Sports Marketing Center had the results released today that show NFL fans who play Madden are more knowledgeable about the sport than those who don't play the game. Apparently it is not an insignificant difference either. The football IQ of Madden players came out 60% higher than non-Madden players. 79 Rated QB in AFC Championship
As the Ravens closed out their victory over the Titans on Saturday it struck me what Joe Flacco had just accomplished. He's the first rookie QB to win two playoff games. Not only that, but he did so while carrying a rating of 79 in Madden 09. Every week when the roster update details are posted his is a name most frequently cited in the comments as having been overlooked.
