Online Franchise will finally be receiving a roster update in Madden 10 next week. This has been confirmed and will be the first update for the mode since way back in October. When the final roster update for Madden 10 was released one change caught everyone by surprise. Players who had retired in the time between the end of their season and when the update arrived were removed, most notable of them being Kurt Warner. Final Roster Update Removes Kurt Warner
An interesting development out of the final roster update for Madden 10 is that players who have announced their retirement have been removed from the game completely. Kurt Warner, Junior Seau, and Bertrand Berry are no longer available for use with the update that arrived earlier this morning. With a firm release date of May 18th finally established it looks like the promotion for Backbreaker is finally starting to gear up. EA Sports Bringing Madden to Facebook
Earlier today EA Sports president Peter Moore announced plans for a Facebook version of Madden in an interview with Bloomberg TV. The social networking website is being accepted by more companies as a viable platform to release their games on and expand their reach. Currently the football competition on Facebook includes GridIron Live Football which does not have the benefit of having the NFL license.
