Recently I posted a poll to gauge what new addition to NCAA Football 11 was the most highly anticipated at the time. Now with a bunch of information having spilled already for Madden 11 it presents a good opportunity to get an early feel for what new element of the game is creating the most excitement. Two of the items on the list, the GameFlow play-calling and locomotion engine, have been extensively detailed by EA Sports. The other two main ones to this point are Gus Johnson as the play-b...

Tecmo Bowl Throwback is basically a carbon copy of Tecmo Super Bowl with a few notable exceptions. There is now a "3D" mode with updated graphics, online play has been added, and the game lost all elements of the NFL license. (more…)...

Those of you who follow on Twitter and Facebook have been able to check out screenshots of some of the rookies in their pro uniforms over the course of the week. Those are still up and can be most easily found in the Facebook photo album (make sure to "like" the page while there!). These screens go beyond that group, offering up different shots of the same players and screens of others who were drafted. I tried to grab as many as possible in Madden 10 by using the NCAA 10 draft classes. It ...

I went ahead and recorded a couple quick videos from Tecmo Bowl Throwback. I have mixed feelings on the game right now, which I'll lay out in an upcoming impressions posting, but these videos are a good opportunity to at least see the game in action. The first video is a scoring drive where I switched between "3D" and "2D" views to display the difference, while the final two videos come out of an online game. Continue on to watch and leave your thoughts in the comments! (more…)...

The introduction of the GameFlow play-calling system in Madden 11 is clearly going to be the feature that gets the most promotion this year. It seems that EA Sports believes this feature will have wide spread appeal and bring in some gamers who may be intimidated by the intricacies of the game. It has already been discussed in some videos, brief details laid out in the press release, previewed by various sites, and got spotlighted in the first trailer. Now EA has posted an even more detaile...

Tecmo Bowl Throwback is a remake of Tecmo Super Bowl and contains the same rosters from 1993. The team and player names will be changed, due to the lack of NFL license, but the rosters will be identical in terms of player makeup. If you are interested in looking them over they can be found here. The game features the abil...
