Earlier today EA Sports launched Madden NFL Superstars, a free-to-play but microtransaction supported Facebook team management sim game. Madden 11 Roster Update #2 Details
The second roster update for Madden 11 has gone live. This is a pretty significant update that includes a bunch of ratings changes based on preseason performance, player additions, and movement due to injuries. Curiously while Vincent Jackson was removed from the depth chart other players in the same situation, Darrelle Revis and teammate Marcus McNeill, did not see their status change in this update. Maroney and Loeffler Upset With Their Representation in Madden 11
It never fails that there will be players that publicly speak out against their Madden ratings. Many go about contacting EA behind the scenes in an attempt to get their ratings boosted but others aren't shy to go on record about it. Two as of late have cropped up. Next Madden 11 Roster Update Coming Soon
It appears that the second roster update for Madden 11 will be coming sooner than anticipated. According to Donny Moore the next one is being targeted to arrive this weekend. This update would likely attempt to position rosters to be in better shape before NFL teams set their final 53 after the last preseason game. QuickHit Football Adds DeMarcus Ware
The latest player to be added to the browser based management sim QuickHit Football is Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware. QuickHit announced the acquisition of the NFL license for branding such as team names, logos, uniforms, field art, stadiums, and other league branding back in June. However they are still restricted to having five players that are currently active in the league given they don't have a deal with the NFLPA. Madden 11 Gets Online Quitting Fix
EA Sports released an update yesterday that changed the way wins and losses are reported online in Madden 11. One of the big issues so far with online play had been the ability for quitting to take place in the first half of ranked games and at any point in Madden Ultimate Team games with no penalty in the way of a loss being tagged to the quitter and no win being presented to the person quit on. Madden 11 Struggling to Meet Sales Expectations?
I've seen quite a bit of chatter today regarding some thoughts that initial indications are the sales for Madden 11 have been disappointing. At this point there is absolutely no concrete data to suggest sales are down. However this CNBC article seems to have stirred up discussion by making some purely unsubstantiated assumptions.
