Free Agent Bidding Process in Madden 12
EA Sports has released a video providing an opportunity to get a look at the new auction-style bidding process for free agents in Madden NFL 12. The new system has been implemented in Franchise mode which will put a 'timer' on each free agent with the highest bid winning the right to negotiate the final contract terms and complete the signing. Madden NFL 12 Player Ratings: NFC North
The deliberately slow rollout of Madden NFL 12 ratings continues with the latest four teams to have been broken down this week. The completion of the NFC North leaves only the NFC South to come.
Check out the rosters and ratings for the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, and Minnesota Vikings. These are four teams that didn't make many waves with their off-season moves and the reigning champs return largely the same roster though with many players returning from the injured ...
Players to Receive 100 Ratings in Madden NFL 12 Through Voting Process
EA Sports is teaming up with ESPN and specifically the SportsNation program again to hold another series of votes - following up campaigns like the Madden NFL 12 cover tournament and the 'traditions' for NCAA Football 12. The latest is being referred to as 'Club 100'.
This time around the vote will center on which players deserve a 100 rating in five specific categories. Five players will win the right to have the 100 rating (one for each category).
•Elusiveness: Charles, Peterso...
Madden NFL 12 Player Ratings: NFC West
The deliberately slow rollout of Madden NFL 12 ratings continues with the latest four teams to have been broken down early this week. The completion of the NFC West leaves only the NFC North and NFC South to wrap up.
Check out the rosters and ratings for the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, and St. Louis Rams. The Cardinals will obviously be quite a different team with the addition of Kevin Kolb and the 49ers were early off-season losers but crawled out of the hol...
Watch Another Half of Madden NFL 12
EA Sports has released another two videos offering the opportunity to watch directly-captured gameplay footage of Madden NFL 12. Comprising of the first and second quarter (final build) with the Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers in the rain it does not use the base rosters as some of the player movement – that will be made when the first roster update arrives in time for release – has been manually completed. These follow up the Eagles at Falcons videos from last week. Co...
NCAA Football 12 Tops July Sales Charts
There were several notable developments that came with the release of NPD's official sales numbers for July. Overall it was the weakest performance for video game sales since 2006 and NCAA Football 12 easily took first place. It was already known the game was seeing increased sales over the prior year - 17% for the first two weeks - and it ended up finishing 15% higher when comparing respective first month numbers. (more…)...
Madden NFL 12 Player Ratings: NFC East, Titans, Jaguars
The deliberately slow rollout of Madden NFL 12 ratings continues with the latest six teams to have been broken down this week. The Titans and Jags wrap up all the teams from the AFC and are joined by the entire NFC East.
Check out the rosters and ratings for the Tennessee Titans, Jacksonville Jaguars, Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, and Washington Redskins. The Eagles of course have made a number of high profile moves in the short off-season period that will strength...
Madden NFL 12 Demo Impressions
Having played Madden NFL 12 extensively at E3 (check out my full impressions here) the demo didn't offer a whole lot new - in fact it feels as though a step backwards has been taken. Though no exacts have been given regarding the timing of the build used for the demo it likely comes from May or June and may predate the E3 build. Hopefully that is the case. Regardless though it's important to evaluate what is available and in doing so the feedback could be implemented in the release day patch...
